Small jobs welcome

"Reed Pratt is the most professional, punctual, and skilled pro I've ever hired. His craftsmen-ship is superb. He repaired some drywall issues in my garage and the outcome is phenomenal. His skillset allows him to create and solve any modification(s) a customer may have. There are several other home improvement projects I have and Reed is my first choice if available. Simply outstanding!"

Hello and welcome,\n\nMy name is Cameo Buckn, and I am a lifelong resident of North Louisiana. As a dedicated family man with a wife and child, Iunderstand the importance of dependable, honest service and treating every customer with respect.\n\nFor over 10 years, I have proudly served the Shreveport/Bossier area while working full-time with the local utility company in Shreveport. Along the way, I have developed strong hands-on experience in assembly, repairs, maintenance, and general handyman services.\n\nAs I begin building my own business, my focus is on providing quality workmanship, reliability, and excellent customer service. I take pride in every project I accept and believe in being upfront and honest with my customers. If a job is outside of my expertise, I will let you know rather than waste your time or money.\n\nMy goal is not simply to chase profits, but to build a trusted business and long-term relationships through hard work, integrity, and dependable service. Thank you for you

"Great service and very friendly. Sears came in and replaced my icemaker with a refurbished item and said it was new. It did not even work. Chuck came in and checked everything out and replaced with a brand new one. He worked around my busy schedule which was totally awesome. Sears gave me an 8-5 Monday thru Friday. Chuck came out on a Saturday and works past 5 o'clock. Price is very reasonable and again Service was outstanding."

FAQs for weatherstripping service projects in Shreveport, LA

Yes—sealing every operable door and window gives you the best defense against drafts, insects, and wasted energy. Gaps add up, so weatherstripping the full lineup of doors and windows in your home keeps conditioned air inside and pests outside. A whole-home approach can trim utility bills and make each room more comfortable year-round.

Swap out worn strips as soon as you spot cracking, gaps, or daylight around the seal. Taking a small sample to the hardware store helps you match the profile and size. A quick check each spring and fall keeps minor wear from turning into full-blown drafts and preserves your energy savings.

The lifespan hinges on both material and traffic. Expect to change the main-entrance foam or felt every two to three years, swap V-strips every five years, and maintain interlocking metal for decades with an occasional tune-up or repair of a small section. A quick annual inspection catches wear early and keeps your home draft-free and efficient.

Start by closing each door or window and feeling along the edges for drafts or visible light. Check seams, corners, and any spots where strips pull away. When a section looks brittle or loose, peel it off, clean the surface, and measure the gap before cutting a replacement to size. Follow the manufacturer’s directions, and call a pro if you’re dealing with specialty materials or tricky thresholds.
