"I hired S&L for several projects to assist on finish work for a new house I was building. The work included installing cabinetry in the kitchen, baths and laundry room. Custom building shelving in several closet and a pantry. Doing stone and tile work. Also finish trim in various areas around the house. The team did excellent work, were very conscientious about the work and also very clean and respectful about the work and our needs. I would highly recommend them for any type of project. "I wrote a letter to the President of Angie's List. My big gripe was you debited my credit card at the beginning of November, or October, I forget what the date is, I didn't get it until the end of December. I realized it was going to take a little time, but I didn't realize you were going to debit my credit card immediately for the amounts that we agreed on. That's not the right thing to do.  You don't debit a credit card until you deliver the product or the product was even mailed. It was six or eight weeks before I got the product and I had to pay for it before hand, before I received it. I'm really happy with the table pad, it was a real quality job, with the exception of, not to be repetitious, you charged me before they even shipped it. It's not Berger's fault that they charged it, I give Angie's List an F for charging me. I had to make a couple of phone calls to make sure it was coming to me and they were very accommodating to me. I would do business with that table pad company again. I thought the price was really good for the quality of the pad I received. The table pad fits perfect. It was easy to call them by phone to inquire where my table pad is. They came up with a correct answer and they kept me informed. I made at least two phone calls to make sure it was still coming and they were professional about it. I had no complaints about that."

"This review is long overdue. The house we purchased is 20-something years old and had old 12x12 tile on top of an extra layer of plywood on the first floor as well the original carpet throughout. Cawood was recommended to me by my uncle, and I had called or visited several other vendors as well. I chose Cawood because of the quality of their product, personalized service from Mr. Cawood and their reasonable price. Their crew arrived on time and worked hard to remove the nailed down subfloor under the tile. After this was done, the crew discovered that our floors were not level enough to install the hardwood we'd chosen. They could have done a few things to even out the original sub floors and just installed the new hardwoods...I would not have known the difference. But Mr. Cawood visited the site and explained how our new floors would buckle or crack if we didn't work on the subfloors first. Even though he had to rearrange his crew's schedule and other jobs, he made sure our job was done right. He called a few contractors he knew and gave us names of those who could do what we needed and fit us in. We chose one of them, the work was completed, and Mr. Cawood came out to inspect the subfloors before the new hardwood and carpets were installed. Once he gave the ok, his crew installed our hardwood and carpet quickly throughout both floors of our home. Today, a few years later, both carpet and hardwoods still look brand new. The hardwoods are durable, don't scratch easily and the color is beautiful. Our carpeting is soft, extremely stain resistant, and still plush. I appreciate the value and service we received from Cawood floors and will call them when we decide to redo our basement.
