"Project started out well with great communication to set up initial appointment for quote. The overall job turned out well; but once they won the business, the project was mismanaged and communication was poor. There was an overall lack of supervision on the project. It was scheduled for late November. At the time of scheduling, I asked if job would be negatively affected by snow and cold weather and if I should wait to schedule until Spring the following year. I was assured that winter weather would not cause a problem. Luckily, the concrete was poured prior to several snow storms, but the concrete was not sealed until Spring the following year. The project entailed replacing all sidewalks, a driveway and building a raised patio. The patio measurements were incorrect twice. The second incorrect measurement led to my underground sprinkler line being cut. My sprinkler line was also cut in a second location in spite my pointing out where the underground sprinkler lines crossed under the concrete. Hoses were dragged through my garden with no regard for above ground misters. Several were snapped off. The repair bill when sprinkler system was turned back on in Spring was high, and Legacy agreed to reimburse me for some of the damages. They never followed through in spite of my calling in to check on reimbursement."

"I used Liftech for a structural repair and am happy to report that my experience with the company was very positive. My particular job concerned fixing an issue with the wrap-around deck on my house, where the concrete piers supporting the deck had heaved upwards. The core house foundation was stable where the deck attached to the house, but the heaving caused the edge of the deck to move upwards, pulling the overhead soffit away from the house and the deck itself to be out of level 2" across 6'. What made the job challenging was that all deck supports were 12" diameter logs, some 18' long and weighing 1000 lbs. After obtaining 2 estimates it was clear that Liftech offered the correct solution, which was to shore up the deck with temporary supports, remove all logs, deck railings and stairs, remove the original concrete piers, drill and sink helical piers 25' into the hole left by the piers, form and pour new concrete pier caps and then re-install the logs, railings and stairs. Because this was a complex and technically challenging repair, the company owner Darren came out and personally supervised the job. The job began exactly when scheduled, and did not run over the number of days estimated to complete (they were actually done in 7.5 days instead of the 8 estimated). In addition to Darren, the three man crew of Chad, Wesley and Austin were very professional, polite and hard working. I was frankly amazed at how much work they accomplished in such a short amount of time. The end result was exactly what I had hoped for - the deck is now level and sitting on stable supports guaranteed to never heave again. In short, it is clear that Liftech is more than just a concrete stabilization company, and they are fully qualified to handle complex foundation structural issues. I highly recommend this company."

Scott was one of five that I had called, and only one of three to have made time to come and talk with me. He was prompt and professional, with good, solid information on what he could do. He followed up our meeting with accurate estimates and came a second time with photos and color charts for me to look at. When it came time for the actual work, we set up a time and they even showed up early. The work was exactly what I wanted, and even though I didn't give him a real clear picture of the patio I'd hoped for, it is more than I'd even imagined. "We hired them to reinforce the foundation where a few years before some tunnels had been dug through the soil under the footings to put in some new pipes. This is an old brick house and the footings are several widths of brick laid directly on the soil, not concrete. The reinforcement is to pour some concrete walls under the footings to support them and to stabilize the soil walls of the tunnels. They also poured concrete to stabilize another area where soil had been eroding under the footing. We also had them remove an unused brick planter next to the wall. The estimator, Lance Heimes, did a very thorough study of the area and then carefully described to us the recommended work. Because of his attention to detail and good explanations I had a lot of confidence in his recommendations. The work went smoothly and looks good upon completion. The weak point with this company was communication. I had to call them up to find out when the work was scheduled, and even then we were never sure when the workers would show up. They also sent me the final invoice for the work when the work was only about half-done, rather than upon "substantial completion" as provided in the contract. They did finish the work a day or two later, so it worked out OK, although for a while I was worried that they had forgotten to finish the work."
