"I had received bids on refacing my old cabinets and putting in new granite slab countertops totalling approximately $10,000.00. My sister referred me to Stu and Gary owners at Specialty Building Products NW (formerly Oregon Glass Block). They showed me how I could remove walls in my kitchen to create an open working area that would update my home and make my kitchen fun and modern! Gary drew the plans and once we had a design that we liked, we signed our contract and their crew began work removing walls, old cabinets and appliances and repairing some hidden plumbing and electrical problems. Once the prep work was complete their team set about framing for the new island with raised bar, sheeting for the new floor and we ordered cabinets. The electrician installed new lighting in the area and added a circuit for my new range and also repaired some wiring that was close to starting a fire in the old light over my sink. Stu helped me choose flooring, tile and even appliances. In 3 1/2 weeks I was using my brand new kitchen! They are honest, professional, detail oriented and very experienced. I paid more than the original bids but got so much more for my money. Everyone loves my kitchen!"

"Slate kitchen and both ceramic tile bathroom floors cleaned up and sealed beautifully.  We were very pleased.  Then a week or so later, we noticed that one of the bathroom floors absorbed water in a couple spots, something that shouldn't happen once sealed. "My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"All and all it turned out great!d The end result was fabulous and we got exactly what we wanted! We choose a granite from a tile size sample. It was advised that we drive to Portland to view the slabs. Glad we did because the sample and slabs were really different. We choose another slab in Portland. The supplier did not have matching bookend slabs. So, Trent the owner had a photo emailed him and he worked on matching the slabs, giving us two choices. Sam did the template and fabricated metal supports for the island peninsula-since we don't like the corbels for support. When the slabs arrived at the fabricators,Travis had us come in and placed the templates on the granite slab until we got the right combination. It was like a puzzle! We liked them so much that we are having them make a travertine counter top for our guest bathroom. <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured.
