He work for approximately one hour trying to clear the drain. unfortunately because of the age of our house, the cast iron pipe was just too deteriorated . He was unable to clear the drain to his satisfaction . Adhering to his company's policy, we were not charged for the service call. "Awesome. Call the day after Thanksgiving, at 7:30am, they were here by 9. Cleaned out the sewer, very nice technician. Unfortunately, they did not get it all out so I called again a few days later and they showed up within the hour and got it right! "We called Zaring and spoke with a very knowlegable woman who quoted a price that truned out to be spot on. The service was scheduled between 11 and 3 that day and the tech arrived at noon. Chris was courteous and had a good understanding of septic systems. He had the problem identified within a few minutes and completed the emptying of the tank and cleaning of the tank and  filter in 2 hours. Chris was careful to remove the thin layer of sod over the seeptic tank covers and replaced it neatly when completed. It was out first expereince with septic systems and could not have asked for a better company to work with. Job well done! <br />"

"Overall Jarboes did a nice job. The two guys that came to the house were extremely nice and hardworking guys. They did exactly what they advertised - cleared a blocked main drain. They sent a camera down the pipe to show the roots causing the issue. My only concern with the visit is that, as expected, the $93 is a loss leader for them. The only solution to the root problem that they suggested was a total line replacement for $13,000. I asked about alternatives like some of the marketed chemicals and they said it will not work. I just feel it was somewhat incomplete advice. Many people have documented great success with copper sulfate as well as regular pipe cleanings. Sure - a new pipe will resolve the problem but I think you have to explore alternatives when the price for the perfect solution is so steep. My advice to Jarboe's - be more helpful to your customers and prove you are not just there to upsell to a Lexus solution. I would have spent the $350 for the pipe cleaning and even signed a service contract with you to do this every spring if you had just offered alternatives. Honesty and full disclosure will make you a better company."
