"We hired TruGreen to manage our lawn due to the overgrowth of weeds. Like many I read the reviews, but thought they were random occurrences, Not so. They have a guarantee, and kept coming out but the weeds weren't dying off. We kept paying, they kept coming out for retreats, but no results. In fact the weeds got worse. We finally canceled the service. To date, they still call, the reps still act shocked, and now they want us to pay off the bill, and as a matter of principle I refuse. They actually called us to sell us more products during our service, claiming we had fungus and other things, but our technicians never said a word or showed us. Found out from one of their reps it's just a selling tactic, yeah, the admitted that. After months of treating and retreating the lawn, one tech said we don't treat these types of weeds, I him then why are you here? We're filing a complaint with the SCDCA, TruGreen products are garbage and in my opinion they're just a chemical company pushing chemicals. See images below. Our weeds were so bad, our neighbor killed a 20 feet strip of grass to separate his lawn from ours. We had silver dollars, clover, Dallas grass among other species. Lastly, the mosquito treatment was hit or miss, Mostly a miss."

Carolina Lot Care specializes in environmentally safe land clearing, forestry mulching, brush cutting, undergrowth removal and eco-friendly land clearing. We offer state-of-the-art brush clearing equipment for Contractors, developers, governments, co-ops, and property owners.\n\n\n This land clearing equipment leaves a park-like effect and there is no burning or hauling. When compared to traditional methods (bulldozers and excavators) our light weight and efficient equipment leaves less of an impact on the environment and eliminates damage to the tree roots, bark and the terrain. No wet land study is needed because we do not remove or alter the root structure saving you time, money and hassles with permitting. We use a system called “Selective Clearing” removing only the underbrush and unwanted trees while leaving the natural features of the land. \n \n Our equipment grinds trees and stumps flush with the ground returning the nutrient rich mulch to leave a park like appearance. The mulch left behind helps with moisture retention and erosion control once again reducing the overall cost of retaining walls (silt Fence) and seeding. \n \n We are now offering Flying Pest control to Contractors, Governments, Local Municipalities and Home Owner Associations. Our early morning system is completely safe for humans and is extracted out of the Chrysanthemum flower vastly reducing the number of Mosquitos, No-See-Ums, Spiders, Ticks and Snakes allowing employees to work more efficiently and visitors to enjoy their stay.

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Smoaks, SC

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
