"His office called us the day before service to remind us about the appointment time.  I appreciated the call.  He showed up promptly at 8 am.  The fireplace had a gas firelog setup and I wanted to change to a wood burning fireplace.  He removed the gas firelog setup.  After cleaning the interior of the fireplace, he inspected the outside of the chimney.  He explained some small projects on the fireplace that I could do, such as mortar some of the firebox and clean and seal the chimney.  He explained that the firebox is in good condition and advised me what to look for that would indicate the firebox needs to be replaced.  He did a GREAT job!!! <br />"

"They did a really good job. They found some stuff that we didn't see on our home inspection and they took care of that too. We got one other quote and it wasn't even close. The quality was an "A", so far no leaks. We would use them again. There was a crew of 2 and they were in and out."

"Our laundry sink is a deep tub with little space left for the faucet in the rear. I expected that the plumber would need to remove the tub in order to replace the faucet. However, he did all his work from the underside and needed to cut the copper tubing to the old faucet to accomplish. He didn’t ask nor did I specify that I wanted to reuse the old faucet. But he defeated that purpose when he cut the tubing to close to faucet body. Subsequently, when we checked the installation, we pointed out that he hadn’t tightened down enough allowing the faucet to be moved around on the tub. Additionally, the pull-down hose couldn’t be pulled down at all. He fixed these items before he left. But afterwards, I discovered that the hose could only be pulled down part of it overall length. Admittedly, this was a tough job especially in the manner that he chose to accomplish. But I felt it could have gone better."

"I was given the option of several colors of architectural shingles. The owner and project manager even got matching roof vents and and drip edge so it gave the new roof more of a completed look. Most roofers just use galvanized drip edge and it really stands out. During the work, there were a couple of minor issues. However, Mr. Edgar, Ms. Brittney, and Mr. Carlos were all very quick to get the problems fixed and make sure the project was done to my satisfaction. The roof was replaced one day, including clean up and removal of debris. I have had a leaking roof for several months that ruined new dry wall work and now I'm shocked that there is no water when it rains!! I have had my roof replaced before and it has never been this simple! Even with the other problems, it was still the best experience I have ever had. Additionally, there was an Angie's list coupon for 5% off that the company was not aware of, but they honored it anyway. The owner told me he wants to get the job done with the same care and attention to detail as he would for his own home. After my experience, I know he is telling the truth and will truly do what is required to make sure your job is done correctly!"

We have a second story so I thought it might look a little odd, but we did a lot of research and found a picture of one done by Alumaworxs on their Facebook page. It certainly helped to see examples of their work. We got three bids - Alumaworxs was the most competitive and the owner, Todd, was very responsive and he worked closely with us on the design and answered all of our questions. Alumaworx also had positive reviews on Angie's List and one of the bidders didn't have any reviews (that concerned me). The process went very quickly. After we approved everything was done within a week or two (it had been raining for a few days). They actually put up a sample so we could look at the corner and make sure it was at the correct angle and that we were pleased. After we gave the approval they fabricated the awning at their place and then came to install the awning. It didn't take long at all. I must admit it looks better than I ever expected. I would certainly recommend Alumaworxs to friends and family based on my personal experience. The owner of Alumaworx posted pictures of our awning on their Facebook page so you can check it out there. If I can figure out how to post pictures I'll come back and post. To summarize - we took a chance on Alumaworx based on other Angie's List comments and Facebook posts and we certainly weren't disappointed. We couldn't be more pleased!  </p>"

"I posted an earlier review where I gave some low grades based on a charge for log removal. The owner (who usually goes on all jobs, but was unavailable when my services were performed) contacted me to get details. He refunded the $50 I was charged for removing the logs, and ensured the chimney had been cleaned. He said he would remind his assistants to mention any charge upfront. He asked if I experienced any uncomfortableness with the workers, based on my lower grade for professionalism. I said no, my irritation at the charge for removing the logs colored my rating for the overall, price, quality and professionalism ratings. Based on his responsiveness in checking to ensure the work was done properly and refund of unexpected charge, I would hire again, and recommend him to others."
