"American Home Shield is the warranty company and I called them to check the heating system. They then called contractors they work with and send them out. The service call fee is 100 to me and they cover the rest. The main issue in my area of Vermont is they dont have a good network of contractors. So typically they won't respond for 2-3 days until after the call. Then they provided me with instructions to use my own contractor. I then have to call around and hire a contractor, who then has to call AHS first and get it approved. So the process is very time consuming and the hold times to call in are very long, up to an hour sometimes and never shorter than 20 min. They got it fixed in the end but the turnaround time is very slow.
