"We had 3 companies come out to bid our home exterior project. We are very happy we went with Capital to replace our roof, siding and windows. Jeff and Danny were great to work with. They took a lot of time with us at the initial meeting to answer all our questions and give us suggestions for our work. They kept us updated throughout the project as materials were delivered and when the different crews would be working on our house. The roofing crew was very efficient and hard working. Bryan the window installer was outstanding. We were very impressed with his high-quality work and attention to detail. John, Tony, and the rest of the siding crew were also fantastic. They made sure all our questions were answered as they were completing their work. Finally, we had stonework done on the front of the house and Troy, the mason, was great as well. "Very poor communication, link they send to design your house is limited in colors of siding and brick and is not even exactly what they carry. Siding ended up not being the color we wanted and edge trim was not white. However we are still happy with current color and sides as we were going back and forth on those colors and option anyway. Siding has nails showing, brick installed not flush and very large gaps. Brick installers damaged new aluminum wrap around garage doors as well. Door install did not mount door correctly and would not close, after he came back, store still has a visible gap in seal and can see the outside from the inside. Painter however, did an exceptional job. Owner never called to follow up with us on complaints or after the project was completed. I would not use this company again. They are expensive and their work and followup does not reflect the price paid."

"I will call this “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly review” as I am breaking this review into the 3 teams that we had – 2 very good and done quickly and 1 inferior with the most time spent at our house – thus the overall 3 star grade. The Good • Roofing Team – Grade: A. Efficient, good job, found virtually no nails or roofing materials on the ground • Gutters – Grade: A. One man crew but he knew what he was doing and provided good suggestions for modifying our water flow. The Bad • Siding & Window Team – Grade: C to D. Not sure how they were trained but they didn’t seem to understand some common construction basics. A few of the many examples – o They nailed the siding on wrong and had to start over. o They almost ripped the 120V electrical outlet off the house without turning off the breaker but it was the weekend and we happened to be in the garden and saw them. o Installed the dryer vent wrong twice – once painting it shut and the next time putting on a vent with a label on it saying “not for use with clothes dryers” due to the pre-installed screen. The Ugly • Siding & Window Team – Used caulk as touch up paint on LP Smartside (or just used the siding to clean off their dirty fingers?) – leaving random “chicken pox marks” all over new siding. Garage, driveway and all 4 sides of our house were filled with equipment and garbage for the length of the project. Not the crew to have if you have children or pets – they left old saw blades and other sharp objects around the garage entrance and the house. I didn’t expect a spotless home every night but I didn’t expect to be living with this much disarray with minimal clean up each night, even after asking the supervisor to improve pickup of at least garbage and sharp objects in the garage and the common walking paths. Nor did we expect to be spending our fall cleaning caulk off the “maintenance free” siding and re-painting it and installing our outside boxes correctly. I will give the owner credit for realizing that his siding and window crew did inferior work and giving us a discount on our bill. None-the-less, I am rating the services provided based on the quality of the work done."

"Craftman's Choice did an excellent job for us!! We hired them for two projects... We live in Plymouth, MN and have been in our house for 26 years. In 2019, we decided to have new siding installed, and we hired them to install James Hardy Siding. They did a fantastic job for us. It went very smoothly and they communicated with us very well. Then, in 2021, we hired Craftman's Choice to replace our roof. Again, they did a fantastic job. Chris Overton, who manages their roofing group is a great guy. Our roof is a weird design (pitch over garage running towards house) and Chris came up with a great solution for us. We highly recommend Craftsman's Choice for both siding and roofing!!"
