"They worked hard Thanksgiving Eve to fix a broken submersible pump in a 175 ft well. They stayed until after dark. AND it was short notice. They even came in way under their expected estimate. I had another company come out and they told me it was something else and didn't even check the pump. I almost spent $500 for something that was not broken! These guys never even took a break while they were working. I will never use another company for any plumbing needs."

"The representative who initially came to the house to explain BDry's procedure was very courteous and professional. I received a quote on the spot. I had two other companies come out (one company did not even bother to get back to me with an estimate). Each company had a different opinion of what needed to be done and BDry's procedure was the least invasive and made the most sense. The team who actually did the work was very courteous and stayed until the job was done - a 12 hour process. (That was one question I didn't think to ask - approximately how long would it take) They communicated with us throughout the day, for example they asked where we wanted the sump pump to drain, instead of just making the decision. Overall, I am very happy we chose BDry.!"

"I had a flood for the first time in the crawlspace and basement. I called Regional Foundation & Crawlspace Repair to come out. They wanted 27K for crawlspace encapsulation, that was too much and I could do most the work myself. I instead paid them $5,000.00 to bury a geodrain and install a triple safe sump pump system. This is the job they did, they installed the sump pumps at the 3rd to lowest point in the crawlspace and this geodrain goes back and forth from uphill to downhill. The lowest point still allows water to flood downstairs. They also cracked a chunk of my foundation at the point of sump pumps egress. Outside they just threw rocks on ground were the water comes out and can get back into the ground to reenter the crawlspace. They got 1 star because the people were nice, their job was not. Update as of 4/23/2024 they contacted me and said they wanted to make sure everything was good. A Girl and guy came out and noticed a couple things I didn't and said they would fix it that their company does not do work like that. They dug up all the previous geodrain and moved it to walls, tried to level out the drain and changed the location of the pumps and the drain outside. She had a really good work ethic and never took a break. The guy was on the other side of house and think he did good too. Everything they did looked professional and looks like they fixed everything. They had to come back today to finish the work today, but had three of them. It all looks good and they tested everything. They apologized about the old work and were not sure went wrong, but I don't have a negative view of the company now and am satisfied with the work they did. Just nocking one star for the under trained individuals that came the first time, the second crew was great!"

"A small crack in a copper tube in the crawl space was noted during HVAC work.  The Plumbing Knight repaired the crack and noted that the house water pressure was well over 100 psi.  Small wonder the copper cracked.  They installed a regulator and reduced pressure to 50 psi or so.  Can't pressure wash the car from the outside spigot anymore, but I shouldn't have to worry about a catastrophic water system failure due to the copper coming apart at the seams. <br /> They also spliced my two water-heaters together so my wife could get a bath full of hot water.  Thank you! <br /> Overall great results and I will call them again when I am ready to do some additional work. <br />"

"Everyone that I encountered spoke with expertise and very pleasant. Roger Boger came to our house and was extremely knowledgeable of the products/services he was selling. The service crew was very polite and prompt to answer any questions or concerns that I had. They left their workspace well kept. Will use them in the future for any needs that may arise."

"Steve Emmons at Service Experts helped us after an AC failure in June 2015. I had previously had a good experience with SE (at a different house) and checked with them plus another vendor. I ended up going with SE. The HVAC systems in my new house (built in 1986) were not appropriately sized or designed for the actual space and airflow. One of the systems was essentially straddling 2 areas of the house that are cut off from each other, which makes no sense for air flow. So we replaced 2 units of the same size (I think both were 2.5 or 3 ton) with 2 units of different sizes (2 and 4 ton) and redirected the ductwork. The systems work better now, more even cooling & heating.  <br /> SE did a good job in finding the right way to do the replacement and correct some issues that resulted from previous poor design. Overall they did a great job. <br /> My only complaint is that the initial estimate was WAY too high, and while the end price wasn't cheap I think it was fair for the quality of the system and the work involved. (There were a couple of rebates which brought it down a little more too.) <br />"

"We are pleased to recommend Triangle Reconstruction with our highest praise. It seems too simple to say that they do what they said they’d do, but that’s exactly what happened. Our home is around 50 years old. Ours was a large job - around a month and $30,000. We had Triangle Reconstruction come in after another moisture company provided mold remediation and a humidifier. I wish we’d contacted TR to start with. We provided TR with a structural engineering report. They created a plan to exactly meet all of engineer’s concerns. TR used temporary supports and replaced seal plates, girders, and joists for over half of our home. In addition, they poured footers and built new columns. They also added a few additional girders to firm up our floors. They removed and replaced our insulation. They sealed our porch and crawl space, replaced our vapor barrier, and installed a moisture meter. They wrapped our electrical cords and hung them. The people at TR are remarkable. A+++++"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Southern Pines, NC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
