"This is the 2nd house I have had Robert install an entire AC/Heater Unit in. This last unit was a 5 ton that lasted me almost 18 years - When talking w/ Robert he wanted to ensure that the size of the existing unit was accurate prior to replacement. He came over in his off time just to double check the ceiling heights and sq. footage and confirmed that we were good to go. I appreciated that level of detail versus other companies that would just "punch in an order" and worry about it later. He will not try and sell you on things you dont want or need and was great to work with to try and save me a few bucks. "All communication and scheduling with MJ Frick Company was excellent. We had friends coming for dinner and the company did accommodate our preference of having the plumber arrive and complete repairs before our guests arrived. This review is regarding plumbing service only. We purchased the Big Deal for $59 for a plumbing service call and one hour of service, which sounded great as we had three minor issues. When the initial plumber arrived, on time, he first asked if we wanted to purchase a service plan. This was before we had a chance to gauge the quality of his work or his professionalism and it made my husband uncomfortable that he had to say "no" before any work was done. Upon first inspection of leaky toilet #1, the plumber immediately told my husband that the tank would need to be replaced. My husband, obviously not a plumber, but also not a complete idiot, asked the plumber to show him where the crack in the tank was. The plumber then told him that replacing a bolt might be enough. He replaced the bolt and some tank innards that took about 30-40 mins and told us the parts were $40. <br /> The plumber then fixed the leaky faucet, which took only a minute and no parts.  In retrospect, we should have asked him to tell us when our hour of "included" service was finished and how much he would charge for anything after that, but we didn't ask.  I suppose we erroneously assumed that any additional time spent would be prorated.  The plumber made several long trips back out to his vehicle that took up some time, but it was a very hot day and we do have 20 steps from our front door to the street where he was parked.  We then showed him the "wobbly" toilet and he was nice enough to check with us first to make certain that if he re-sealed the toilet, that we would be okay without using it until the next day.  He quickly re-sealed that toilet and tightened the bolts. <br /> Needless to say, we were shocked when our bill was $110 (on top of the $59 that covered the service call and an hour of service). He said we had gone into the second hour, so charged us for another hour of service plus the parts for the first toilet repair.  We were disappointed and felt that the Big Deal hadn't gained us any discount at all, but glad to have repairs finished before entertaining.  BUT, the next time someone used the leaky toilet, water dripped all over the bathroom floor and it had to be cleaned while entertaining and the dish to catch the leak replaced.  So, our guests had to use the leaky bathroom since the other toilet on the main level couldn't be used until the next day because of the new seal. <br /> After our friends left that night my husband called the company (and even though it was late, they did have an answering service and emergency calls available if needed).  The company representatives contacted us quickly the next day and scheduled a different plumber to come at the earliest time that was convenient for us.  We ourselves had requested a "different plumber" since we didn't have any confidence in the original plumber and were afraid he would say he now had to replace the tank and had tried to tell us that originally.  This second plumber showed up promptly, was very professional, never mentioned tank replacement, but did replace all three bolts and the rubber seal from the tank to the bowl.  He explained that even though it might look like the water is dripping from a particular bolt, that it's difficult to tell where the leak is actually occurring.  He was here less than 30 minutes total and to the company's credit, there was no charge at all for the service call, parts or labor.  Thankfully, there has been no leak since! <br /> In conclusion, our dealings with MJ Frick Company and the second plumber were all outstanding.  Perhaps the first plumber wasn't representative of the company, but we cannot recommend their plumbing services based on our experience.  The company did make certain that everything was taken care of and that we weren't charged additional fees and we feel they are a reputable company. <br />"
