"Communication with AJ at PVP was exceptional. Unfortunately, weather delayed the job several times, but AJ kept in contact with me almost daily with updates and the job was completed as soon as the weather cleared. The finished product was outstanding. It was beyond my expectations. PVP also placed seeded loam around the area disturbed by the work. I would definitely recommend PVP for paving and concrete work."

"Due to the time of year late autumn, company could not guarantee that the asphalt project could be finished before the end of the season, so we altered the driveway plan. <br /> That said, we were grated for the timely response to our request for an estimate, as well as the fair and honest assessment of what the project would entail.  We would call them again for a similar job. <br />"

"I initially was turned off a little bit by my phone interaction with the provider when requesting a quote. He seemed very cranky, which is why I gave him the 'B' on professionalism. However, after getting his quote and seeing that it was well below what I was expecting for the amount of work my driveway needed, I was all for it. We had to reschedule once because it was raining, but he gave me good advance notice and showed up on time on the rescheduled date. <br /> The end product looks VERY good, with a few minor exceptions. There is a little pile of sealant in the road at the end of my driveway, and there are a few spots where the sealant has a bubble where I think a leaf or something else small was sealed over. This caused me to give the B in quality instead of the A. But overall, I am very pleased...especially for the price! My driveway looks amazing compared to how it looked before. I would highly recommend it. <br />"

"I was very happy with the service provided by Anthony and his crew.  They communicated with me constantly, were easy to approach with questions and they worked quickly. There seemed to be a lot of attention to detail.  All the debris and asphalt were carted away and the job was left clean.  They will be back in the spring when the trenching can be regraded and reseeded.    I waited to do this review until we had one good freeze and one good soaking rain and this was the week it happened. No water in the window well, water eliminating where it is supposed to be, and no water  near my foundation.  Thanks AJ! <br /> . <br /> <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Springfield, MA

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
