"This company gives you attention to detail. Rates are very competitive. Workers are incredibly professional and want to make sure everything is done to perfection. They can do anything from cleaning your gutters, gardening jobs, building you furniture and remodeling your home, whether it’s a large or small project. Have used this company for over a year with great results. Would not recommend any other company. Oh and also ended up hiring cleaning staff on a permanent basis."

"We hired Lecla Home Improvements LLC for new roof, chimney cap, major water damaged bedroom repair ( ceiling , walls & carpet) and for replacement windows etc. Our home was badly damaged by the May 15th tornado to the roof, bedroom, kitchen and widows. We had other contractors bid for the job. When my wife & I met with Luis Clavijo, we felt he is the guy to do the job. Luis was punctual and was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about his field of work and in explaining to us in detail of the scope of the work involved, above all he is very humble. Since we have to work with the Insurance company, Luis prepared a very detail breakdown of his estimate to submit to the insurance company and met with the adjuster at the house to go over the breakdown to agree on the final price. Not only he and his team were punctual, he also has great communication and sense of urgency by returning phone calls or e-mails promptly. His team captain Henry was at site all the time during the roof installation and bedroom repairs and for other jobs. Our roof has multiple steep areas with unusual roof architecture with multiple peaks, valleys and dorm. His team was very efficient and has done the job in 2 days and we are very pleased with the outcome. When I asked Luis for some other small jobs that need to be done at the house, not related to damage by tornado, he was very accommodative and instructed Henry to take care of it and Henry did a great job. He did such a nice job on the roof and bedroom etc, we decided to change additional windows at our house that were not part of the tornado damage, totaling the no of replacement windows to be 20. The Job was done very well and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. I would highly recommend Lecla Home Improvements LLC to any roof, home improvement or window replacement job."

"Mike and has team were the easiest company I have ever dealt with. Mike is very professional and pays exceptional attention to detail. He did both our bathroom and kitchen from the 50s. Both now look very modern. I have heard horror stories of kitchens being left unfinished due to delays in manufacturing lately, mike wouldnt touch ours until he knew it could be completed quickly, this made the work extremely stress free. Value and work are top notch. I knew he was the right company to use on our first meeting and that never once changed through the whole process"

"For the past several years we've enjoyed the kitchen that Colonial Carpentry remodeled for us in 2015. We live in a 100+ year old farmhouse whose kitchen previously had ancient plumbing, lead paint and a comically inconvenient layout. Colonial Carpentry did a complete kitchen gut and we have a new enlarged layout, windows, new electrical & plumbing, and of course new cabinets fixtures, countertops, floors. I will cut to the chase: the new kitchen is gorgeous--open, light, airy, functional, basically the hub of our family life. Not only would we hire Bob again, we HAVE hired Bob again for additional work on our home. Bob brings a trove of specialized knowledge and a genuine love and respect for old houses. He worked with us as he uncovered and addressed the innumerable complications that are part of renovating an old home: the floor was sagging, the ceiling had an insufficient number of carrying beams for the design, there was more termite damage in an exterior wall than we'd imagined. He worked skillfully with the design from our architects, and was imaginative when the original design fell short in some way. The infrastructure of the kitchen is great. Bob brought excellent subcontractors on site (a local electrician and a plumber) and everything works. The finish work is beautiful. He found reclaimed cherry board for the flooring, tested a number of finishes, and the floor is one of the most beautiful aspects of the kitchen. Along the way, when we didn't like how something looked, Bob would fix it until we were happy. Somewhere in the middle of any kitchen remodel, I understand that every homeowner wants to get a divorce from their contractor. This happened to us, too. The first few weeks, when demolition brings dramatic change every day, give way to a grueling late-middle period when visible progress is less clear and you are sick of eating pizza that fits in a toaster oven. Realistically, with an old house and a complete gut and layout change, there is just unpredictable stuff that the contractor is going to discover, and fixing those makes the schedule slip. Also, pro tip: don't go on vacation the first week of the new remodel, because things come up, you aren't there, and the team has to proceed and make decisions. Bob stayed in communication with us throughout the remodel and was very clear about every unexpected snag and could present us with options about how to proceed. We had a minimum of the (dreaded) change orders. Costs came in very close to the original quote. In sum, we are happy with the work, we are delighted with the kitchen and the money we spent, and we still have a good relationship with our contractor."

"Lou and his crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They removed and replaced an old deck with composite material and new decorative skirting and stairs. We couldn’t be happier with the finished deck and would absolutely recommend Perfectview Remodeling."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Springfield, MA

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
