With more than 14 years experience, Julie loves all aspects of design from traditional to contemporary. She has worked on both high-end residential and commercial projects, ranging from renovations to new construction. Her hands on experience has given her vast knowledge in the technical aspects of design with specialties focused on textiles, window coverings, and soft furnishings, as well as interior material selections. She enjoys creating memorable interiors for primary residences, as well as second homes, vacation retreats, and professional office spaces. Julie has a passion for working with people and understands that each client is unique. Her love of architectural details coupled with her creative ability to mix textures, patterns, and color creates an interior space that is inviting and timeless. When working with a client, she listens carefully and observes reactions closely. Her goal is to recognize and create appropriate design choices so that the home is a true reflection of her client's identity and lifestyle. So WARNING: do not trust this company, and do NOT give them your money!!!"

LDR Group is the wholly owned subsidiary of the corporate parent Miscellaneous Enterprises Etcetera LLC, as originally formed in 1993 as a Delaware corporation, and later formed in New York in 2008 in the depths of the Great Recession. Originally doing business as Local Dad Repairs, it had at it's heart the goal of helping people in our community keep their homes repaired in hard times. In 2016, with the economy booming and the need for our services diminished,the company shifted it's focus to commercial consulting, serving millwork (custom woodwork and cabinet) companies in the NYC and Washington DC markets. When the corona virus pandemic besieged us all, we realized that there was an opportunity to once again serve our community, but in a more future focused manner that made full use of the skills gained in energy efficiency and home improvement we had developed over the years. LDR is now focused on providing a very special, very important need to our community and our world-hyper energy efficient Passive House buildings as new homes and home renovations. We will no longer do smaller remodeling projects like kitchens, baths, additions and basements. We have moved on to doing just whole house Passive House 'Renphits' or new build Passive House homes. "Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"
