"I recently sought help from Dr. Flue to repair a gap that had formed where mortar around my chimney had apparently eroded over time. From first contact with their office, to the final visit and completion of the work, my experience with Dr. Flue’s staff was exceptional… They took time to understand the issue and provide me a simple cost estimate; scheduled a time to come out and shot me a reminder a couple days ahead of the visit; then showed up on time and prepared. Once onsite, they confirmed the work we had discussed would address the issue I originally reported. Then pointed out some significant chimney flashing issues I was unable to see from the ground. These were a result of a recent, shoddy roof re-shingle job done by another contractor. "Everything went great.  The appointment was setup quickly. They were very responsive. The technician was prompt, and professional.  He did a great job with attention to detail.  Overall: it was everything I expect from a service call.  It seems like the price is a little high, but I've used a "bargain basement" chimney sweep service in the past and I was not satisified with their work.  I will be calling Abbey Road Chimney Sweeps again. <br />"

"From start to finish, the project went smoothly. I did have some wood that need to be replaced but this was not unexpected. 10-12 people showed up and finished in one day. They cleaned everything up. We only found a few nails. They took off Ray St. Clair installed Gutter Helmets and put them back on. This was basically free. Ray St. Clair wanted $1800 for this service (which is ridiculous). In the end, most of the gutter helmets worked but the front of the house. Ray St. Clair did have to come out to replace these at a cost of $500 (which is way less then $1800). They took photos of everything along the way. I did have other estimates that were a bit lower and Ray St. Clair was a lot higher."

"Let me explain: 1. Actually a summary report of the inspection was not provided in the email response with the estimate for repairs after the inspection. Only a verbal explanation was given at the time of inspection. 2. No photos were provided to me also. Only one photo of the chimney top taken in the cell phone was shown at the time of inspection. No copies of photos were given. 3. A professional plan of action for repairs was not included in the estimate. <br /> <br /> 4. A siding specialist was to be sent to our house to check availability and suitability of using the damaged Fascia. But nobody showed up. 5. An estimate for $275 was given for installing the "damaged" Fascia Metal. This appears very over priced. It was also not clear if it was OK to reuse the damaged Fascia Metal. 6. An separate estimate of $515 was given for the Chimney Saddle, but no details were given as to how this work would be done. 7. The inspection was primarily to find why there was a leak in the interior. The estimate made no mention whether the repairs would stop the leak."
