I have spent the last 6 years explaining the how tos of DIY home ownership. I spent 8 years years ago as a handy man while I was in college and am delving back into the field. "I hired Jev Jesjunins as general contractor/project manager to renovate and rebuild a mid-1950’s ranch home in Portland which had not been updated since initial construction. During the process we discovered many unanticipated problems from leaking pipes and leaking basement walls to seemingly unending roadblocks with the City's building department. "We have, for decades, done our own maintenance on the house. But, now we want the exterior trim on our 1940's, 70's ,80's, 90,'s house repaired, replaced, and refurbished. So we needed base carpentry, finish work and painting. Jerry and his team provided it all. The clapboards and decking that needed repair were fitted in and once painted the patches are invisible. The painters made the house look new, windows, doors, trim, decks, siding and bulkhead are pristine.. The corbels were rebuilt and where we had an old AC removed I got a new small window to brighten the dog room. I am very picky (my husband would say that is a massive understatement). You hear about people in constitution milking hours and with Ralph that is NOT true. He was there every morning and he stayed the full day each day. "Have utilized Kevin’s varied services on a somewhat regular basis over the past few years. During that period, in addition to performing general yard cleanups and smaller tree cutting/trimming tasks, Kevin and his team have installed a sizable stockade fence along the rear perimeter of our property, constructed an enclosed, wood and wire vegetable garden, designed/built a distinctive, multi-use pergola with abutting retaining wall feature in our backyard and handled numerous repairs and enhancements to our outdoor deck, front porch and various doors. Kevin has proven to be personable, diligent, receptive to ideas/project adjustments and quite reasonable/practical with respect to his pricing. Mark gave me a 2 hour window and checked in to let me know he was on his way. He cleaned the chimney and installed the cap and flashing in about an hour. He was a good carpenter. He was a great guy. As he gotten older he doesn't go up to ladder anymore, which was okay. The price was $40 per hour."
