"Working with Dave and his crew was an excellent experience. They provided top notch service and explanation of the process involved. Our garage floor had over 40 years of road salt and chemical from Illinois winters. The floor had a couple of large cracks and a significant area of pitting and wear from the limestone in the concrete being eaten away by the salt. The floor now looks like a masterpiece. We've already experienced a snow an the floor cleaned up wonderfully. I'd highly recommend Concrete Ink!!"

"After showing up several hours later than promised, and too late to complete the work as the sun was setting and temperature dropping into 40s, then not showing up the next day as promised, I had to call to find out what was going on. Again the workers did not showing up at the time promised, but were several hours late, and then the work performed appeared rushed and was very poor quality. The seal coating completely missed a couple large areas of the driveway, the grass was not edged back from the drive leaving the edges of the drive untreated with sealcoating, and I was left with questions about whether some of the cracks that were not filled should have been (to me some of the unfilled cracks looked to be larger than 1/4 inch). I texted pictures to Tim of the work, and he had his employees come back out to completely redo the driveway, and he came out himself to supervise and help. There were many different excuses given by Tim and the employees about the reasons for the poor communication and poor quality of the initial work (previous jobs took longer than expected, worker's partner was at hospital because of sick relative, two employees were new with one that had no sealcoating experience, etc). However the final work completed was A+ quality work and looks almost new again. Received many compliments on the final job, and my neighbors had Central Paving and Sealcoating do their driveway. The company came through and made everything right in the end, and we would most likely call them again when our driveway needs another sealcoating, but we would do so knowing not to expect excellent communication and punctuality. <br />"

"We called Bob to do an estimate on our roof. He explained that he had jobs lined up to be completed before ours, but if we sprang a leak, he would come and tarp it immediately. Fortunately, that didn't happen. As it was July, Bob and his helper showed up quite early in the morning to begin work. Bob explained his work schedule, meaning he would take off in the worst of the afternoon heat and return in the evening to continue. They draped tarps around the house to catch errant nails and shingles as they tore off the old roof. We learned that there are certain detailed tasks that Bob does himself, like flashing around a chimney. He is very particular about the quality of his work which we consider a excellent trait in a workman. The roof was completed in a matter of days and the yard was cleaned up. Our roof looks great and we have had compliments from so many of our neighbors. We will definitely call him again!  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The service I received from Promax Construction was absolutely FANTASTIC! I had a rotted fascia board on the south side of the house that was in dire need of repair and Promax was the only company that I could find in Decatur who were actually willing to come out and get the job done. After calling to set up an appointment, John showed up exactly when scheduled, gave me an estimate and I agreed to it on the spot. His price was fair, so I signed the contract and he said he'd send out his guys as soon as he could. The Promax crew showed up roughly two weeks later and immediately got to work. The first crew of guys (sorry I didn't catch their names or I'd credit them here) pulled down the old board and cut and installed the new piece perfectly. It was exactly what I wanted. After that, John had Shane come out to do some finishing work on the roof and chimney and now everything looks fantastic! I am extremely GRATEFUL to Promax Construction for doing this job for me when nobody else would and the next time I need more work done on the house, I will definitely be calling Promax Construction FIRST. "<p>We had been having problems with leaks in our sunken living room for quite a while. The leaks started last year and we had PermaSeal come out and do a "repair" which ended up not working. (The amount of water was reduced, but it still kept coming in, even after PermaSeal did a wrap seal of our foundation.) Frustrated, especially after PermaSeal did not guarantee their last job and wanted to charge us 1000s of dollars for a redo, we consulted with our neighbor across the street who had a similar problem that arose right when ours did. They said Safeguard had IDd and fixed their leak issue (same spot as ours) for a third of what PermaSeal charged, so we called Safeguard.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Phil from Safeguard came out very promptly (actually early! He asked permission to come a full 2 hours early if it was convenient for me, and I said yes). He looked at the area where we suspected the leak occurred and commented that PermaSeal (his former employer!) had done a poor job. He also remarked that the leak might not even be a foundation leak, but rather an above-grade leak like a mortar problem or chimney problem that was then dripping down behind the drywall. He conducted a series of tests using water from our hose to see where water might seep in depending on where the water was pointed. He did a "flood" test of the ground near the foundation---no leak. Then he pointed to some spots where there was missing caulk on our chimney seams, and said that the water could be getting in there instead. He had me go inside and look inside the fireplace while he trained the hose on these side seams, and BINGO! That's where the water was getting in. He found the exact leak location when PermaSeal could not (they just "guessed") Phil then said, "Well, we don't fix that since it's above-grade, so I recommend you contact a siding or chimney company to make those repairs. I'm not going to sell you something that won't fix the real problem just to make my commission."</p> <p>Phil spent nearly 2 hours identifying the true source of our water problem, even when it would not benefit him or his company. Very honest and decent guy, and we WILL use this company when we do have a foundation problem. Great!</p> <br />"
