"Changing my 5 star review to 2 stars. We have had a HE Boiler as well as a AC/Heat Pump installed by them. Unfortunately we needed service today. I was willing to pay for Emergency service. They said they couldn't make it out for 14 days, because we did not have a service contract. Spent about $25k for the installations. Which apparently means nothing to them What makes matters worse, the Emergency Service we paid through another HVAC provider was only necessary because of an issue they created during the installation. During the installation Speer Air originally ran the line for the residual pump over the copper hot water line. Which over time burned through the residual line, and then cause a hole and leak on the copper pipe."

"This was the worst experience i have ever had with a company. They came and damaged my house and kept us without AC for days. They admitted to the extensive damage and went weeks before attempting to repair it. The services were never fully completed and they were paid over 90% of the job. I disputed the last 10% and provided overwhelming evidence of their negligence. And after a year their last ditch effort was to send collections letters. Don't walk, RUN from this company. I will provide pics and my my experience to anyone who is planning on using this company. Used to be family owned and was amazing. Second they sold it went downhill fast."

In October, after speaking with my HOA, I was told the unit was under warranty, which East Coast Comfort confirmed. Technicians came out, but the system only worked briefly before failing again. During the visit, one technician seemed unfamiliar with basic operation of the unit, and another stepped on my bed with dirty shoes, which I found unprofessional. In November, I was told there was a leak and a faulty sensor, but the issue was not fully resolved. Now, its a Christmas, and I am cold in my apartment, and East Coast wants more money for their visit, for something that they never fixed."

In my bedroom with the door closed at night on cool at 70 degrees the humidity goes up to 80%. I wake up uncomfortable, change it from cool to dry mode. The humidity will go down into the 50% range but the temperature drops down to 62 or less! So in cool or dry mode I can't get a good nights sleep! They come and look at it and tell me everything is fine. I'm going to buy a window air conditioner tomorrow which seems insane because i spent $10,000 on this minisplit AC system!"
