"Excellent service. I now feel secure knowing that my sump pump will go on if the power goes off. Unfortunately, I didn’t install the battery backup before the March storms. After Global had done several jobs for me in the past, I thought I was finally going to live without water in my basement but Mother Nature had other ideas. Luckily Bob came to my rescue rather quickly after the flooding. Now I KNOW I’ll be water-free. Bob has never tried to pressure me into buying something I don’t need or can’t afford but I wish I had bought the battery years ago when he first told me about it. I won’t make that mistake again. Cost-wise, Bob will break down the requested work into separate jobs and estimate each so I can make a decision if I can afford all of the work or only some of it. I don't think I've ever worked with a service provider who either answers his phone immediately or calls back promptly. Bob has always kept our appointments, except once when another customer had an emergency. He said he was willing to come over later after hours if I needed him that day. We set up another day for my job, as rescheduling was not a problem for me. I really appreciated that he didn't leave me hanging by not showing up or not calling, like a lot of service providers do. "We had a very unique basement water situation - part of our house was built on ledge and all winter and spring we lived with a pool of water on that ledge, which we had to pump out daily. We had half a dozen waterproofing companies come out and basically no one would touch this with a ten foot pole. Not a single company came up with a viable solution and many simply never called us back. Until John Lapan. He came up with a plan to lay drain pipes on the ledge that would tie into the main cellar's existing drainage system, instill a sump pump, and cover the entire ledge with concrete. He did say the project was a bit like using a sledgehammer on a tack, but to us, it was essential because it took what was an incredibly stressful situation and simply eliminated it. Not only was the water issue resolved, but what was once dead space became functional storage space. The photos attached show the before and after photos. This was not a small project - it took about a week and involved a team of workers, all of whom were incredibly professional and polite. For his creative problem solving and outstanding professionalism, Lapan deserves every praise I can offer. I am remiss in not posting this review until now, but I can say that it has been one year since the work was done and we have not had a drop of water in the basement. This winter was so much less stressful than last! We still speak often about how much we appreciate Lapan's work and what a difference it made in our home."

"They are good on minor plumbing. They are one of these people who charge you an hour to start with. They've been around a long time. They have one guy who does minor plumbing stuff who we are familiar with him. He has a kind of good bedside manner. They have staff on some other stuff. It's still a good firm. Make sure you have somebody on the staff that is familiar with your equipment. They are mainstream here on price. They are not cheap but they are not out of the ballpark. What was done was fine. It was good quality and it was excellent. They were responsive and punctual."

"My constantly wet basement is now dry! It is almost all new concrete. The section where my well pump, water softener was boxed off and filled with rock and was constantly wet. I spoke to a supervisor who agreed that the drain could extend behind boxed area and covered with concrete. I thought the workers were informed by the supervisor. I told them what I wanted done. When they were finished, there were still wet rocks there. I explained again and one of the workers said "you want cement?" Now there's a thin layer of cement that is always wet. The drain pipe outside is only inches from the surface, in the middle of the yard. I can only have wood delivered to one side of the house."
