"I purchased a leaf filter and gutter system from this company and was satisfied with the work. A week later, two trees fell on my home and took out the newly installed gutter system. I contacted leaf filter and their customer service staff was quite helpful and professional and they said it would take over a month for someone to come out and inspect my property and provide an estimate. While I felt that was a long time, I also understood the influx of claims being reported due to weather related events. Additionally, only leaf filter can work on your system if you do not wish to void your warranty. So, you are basically on hold until they can find the time to service your property. After a month an individual came to my property and inspected it and then they instructed me that someone would contact me about a quote and service. That individual said they believed it would be about 1-2 weeks. I waited a month before reaching out because I understood they had a backlog. After reaching out, a manager of service contacted me and provided a reasonable quote for the repair but said he would call me back in a week to provide me with a service date because he would have to find a company willing to drop off the gutter because his team is unable to do that. That was fine, however, I never heard back from that manager and again I waited a month. I contacted the service center yesterday and asked the manager to call me within 24 hours. I told them I didn’t need resolution in 24 hours, just a call from the manager so that I can better understand the situation. It has now been more than 24 hours and at this point I’m not sure what else to do but write negative feedback. As you can see above, I have done my best to be reasonable and at this point I would just like to know when my property will be on the list to be repaired. One of the issues I have with this company is that I can buy a new system today and they guarantee it will be installed within two weeks but if I need a repair, which can only be done by their staff, their is not guarantee that will get back to you within even three or four months."

"This was the second project that Ken's Tree Service has done for me.  Two years ago, he topped 3-60'+ trees that were near the back of the house.  This project was to remove one of the trees that died.  Since this tree was close to the house and on a steep slope, Ken wasn't able to fell the tree and cut it into logs.  As a result, he had to "disassemble" the tree from the top and lower the 6-8' sections to the ground.   <br /> Between the tree and the back of the house, there is a steep 30' slope that ends in a heavily landscaped strip bounded by a 4' rock wall.  As a result, Ken and his staff (I use "staff" instead of crew, to highlight their collective professionalism) had to cut the logs into 1.5-2' sections and lower each section down the hill, roll it across the landscaped area and then drop them onto the yard.  Ken's team was on time, highly professional, pleasant, and hard-working.  After watching Ken climb to the top of the tree, rope and cut sections, and lower them to the ground, I felt their $400 fee more than reasonable considering their risk and competence. <br /> KEN'S TREE SERVICE IS GOOD!  I recommend them without reservation. <br /> For comparative purposes, I'll describe what happened to a neighbor who didn't use Ken.  The neighbor had a local "tree service" cut down an ice storm damaged tree.  It was perhaps 50' tall and about 3.5' at the base.  This tree was also on a slope (which sloped toward my property).  The lads came out, fell the tree, and cut it into sections.  Their fee was about $400 as well (their fee didn't include clean-up).  Oh, yes, when they felled the tree, it landed parallel to the slope, which is not good.  During a rainstorm following their work, the bottom section of the tree--a log approximately 8' long and 3.5' in diameter--broke loose, rolled down the hill, crushed a small rock garden by my driveway, and stopped about 2' short of my garage door.   <br /> KEN'S TREE SERVICE = COMPETENCE--PROFESSIONALISM--REASONABLE PRICES <br />"

"They saved me between 75% to 90% compared to the other bids I got.  They were really good.  They were the best company I’ve ever worked with yet in my life.  The quality was good, and they got it done so quickly it was amazing.  I have a pretty big roof and they had a ton of workers up on there at once to knock it out.  They were done in one day, and they ran the magnet through the yard to be sure to clean up."

"Highly recommended after they stain the inside and outside of 500 feet of fence, which they sanded first by hand, they stained my arbor and cleaned that up for me too. I then hired them to paint the front entranceway to the house (outside) very professional very clean and courteous. Highly recommended. I will use them again as needed."

"We felt very comfortable with Don Kennedy from the first meeting. We selected them despite their higher price point because we were confident in their work and their accreditations. Two or three weeks passed between selecting a color and the actual installation process. It took 7 1/2 days from start to finish for the roof, due to inclement weather on a few days. Gary even gave me his cell number in case something needed immediate attention during those wet days. We highly recommend Gary and his hand-nailing crew - a very noisy process was made more bearable by their friendliness and professional demeanor. Also, they cleaned up well every day. One tip: remember to cover your attic contents with old sheets - I'll be finding shingle dust for years due to our forgetfulness!"

"I am happy with the quality of the finished product, but communication about installation was very poor. I had specifically asked Claude to call and let me know what day the gutters would be installed so that I could keep my cats in the house. I also had wanted a downspout relocated. He never called; I just came home one day and found the job had been done. Cleanup was pretty sloppy, too. I found at least a dozen screws and several pieces of aluminum from my old gutters all along the perimeter of the house. Claude did tell me that they subcontract their gutter work."

FAQs for gutters & downspouts cleaning service projects in Sugar-tree, TN

You’ll want to clean gutters once or twice a year—in early spring and again in fall—to keep water flowing and avoid pricey leaks. Homes tucked beneath tall trees or hit with heavy debris may need two to four visits instead. Staying on schedule protects your roof, siding, and foundation from costly water damage.

Even with gutter guards, plan on an occasional cleaning—just not as often as homes without guards. Installing gutter guards blocks leaves, but grit and shingle granules still slip through and pile up over time. A quick sweep keeps water moving and stops overflow that can damage your roof or foundation.

Watch for overflowing water, slow or silent downspouts, sagging sections, or debris peeking over the gutter edge. You might also spot water stains, weeds, or an increasing number of ants in certain areas. Any of these red flags means it’s time to call a gutter cleaning pro for service before minor clogs turn into major leaks.

Skip cleanings for too long and gutters overflow, sending water under shingles, down siding, and toward the foundation. The result can be mold, rotted fascia, basement leaks, and repair bills that dwarf the price of a quick cleaning. It can also mean that future cleanings will be more expensive as it will take pros longer to deep clean gutters that are full of heavy debris. Staying on schedule saves money and headaches.

Plan on gutter cleaning service to take an average of one hour for an average single-story home and two to three hours for taller houses. Add extra time if gutter guards need to come off or clogs are packed in. Pros work methodically, clearing every linear foot so water can flow freely again.
