The final result was the restoration of running water (I had been almost thirty days without water), a clean house, and a beautiful tub to shower replacement. Itâ s worth noting that Iâ m 75 years old, so I asked Johnny, the Five Star Bath Solutionsâ designer/advisor, what features I should consider for the future. He told me the shower base was non-slip with a low entry threshold and the shower included a Delta Two-in-One Shower with a detachable hand shower (which can be used separately or simultaneously with the shower head). He also suggested that I add grab bars and two water-shedding shelves for a minimal cost. Roger and Eddie from Five Star Bath Solutions came out the very next morning and spent hours removing slab concrete and hand sawing copper pipes in a cramped area. Roger discovered several leaks in both the hot and cold water pipes. Not only did he refuse to give up until he fixed the leaks and restored my water, he explained everything, and left a â shark biteâ on the outside valve so that I could check for future slab leaks and shut my own water on and off at the main. He then meticulously removed all traces of his labor, leaving me with a clean house, running water, and a profound appreciation for Five Star Plumbing, Roger, Eddie, Johnny and all those who have to live without running water. The following day the shower installation team arrived and installed an elegant shower. They were very pleasant, put up with my intrusive dogs, and did superb work. I am so delighted with the results ."

"DJ Custom Cabinets (Don Dockery, owner) is a wonderful company to use for custom cabinet work. Last year we thought replacing the kitchen countertops and painting the walls would make our kitchen look more modern. After the work was completed, we realized that we should have replaced the kitchen cabinets as well. We had several contractors look at the cabinets and give us their opinion. We determined that DJ Custom Cabinets was the right team for the job. It was absolutely the right decision! Don has been in this line of business for over 45 years and felt 99% confident that he could put in new kitchen cabinets without removing the new countertops. He built a complex set of braces to hold up the countertops and was successful at removing the lower cabinets without any damage to the new countertops. He then slid the new lower cabinets under the braced countertops with no damage to the countertops. He replaced all the other cabinets as well. It was amazing to watch him do this. The cabinets are beautiful. His work is absolutely the best. Don and his team are great with communication and very respectful. We never had a call that wasn’t answered or returned quickly. He kept us informed throughout the process. The process was explained thoroughly. Timeline for work completion was right on. We highly recommend DJ Custom Cabinets for any custom cabinet work. "The project was on the high end of the price range, the sales guys were nice and had a well put together pitch. The guys who did the work were very nice and did great work. These guys truly were the best part. Now the down side, there was a problem with ordering the shower door and the communication around that was extremely poor. It wasn?t until I wrote an email to the customer service department did anyone get back to me about where my shower door was. Overall it took a little over a month to get the door installed after the shower was complete. That wouldn?t have been so bad if they had better communication about the project. In the end, I am happy with the shower that was installed. I would recommend them, just be prepared to be very proactive about communication if anything goes sideways."

"The general contractor was very professional. There are always a lot of choices that come up along the way with a remodel--some can be anticipated and some cannot. He was very good about asking for our input along the way so that we weren't surprised. There were a few hiccups (there always are). Carlos was willing to fix problems (finish work on cabinet, drainage of shower floor). The only unresolved issue is a cracked window--the installation of a quartz shelf in the shower area led to a small crack in an exterior window. It was suggested that the glass could easily be replaced by a glass company, but the recommended company wasn't willing to do the work. The crack is a cosmetic issue. To completely replace the window and frame would be very expensive. The crew was also very professional. They did a good job of minimizing the mess and did a good job cleaning up. I hope that I can resolve the window issue, but I'd definitely hire them again."

"The Lakewood Restoration crew came in this time because I had a leak behind my kid's bathroom wall. The tile in the bathtub walls needed to be replaced as the soap dispenser was about to fall off. They removed the old tile and shower door. Added new tile with black and white accents that gave the bathroom a whole new look. Replaced the shower door with a new glass one. They repaired the sheetrock on the bedroom wall where the leak was and repainted that wall matching the rest of the room. The project came right under budget and the bathroom turned out beautiful!"
