Based on the 3 bids, it seemed certain we'd need a subpanel breaker box installed as our main breaker box was full and there were no empty slots to assign to the EV charger. However, only Tommy from Fairway offered up a potential solution within the existing breaker box, if they were able to source a hard to find quad breaker. These guys were to only ones that looked for a better/more economical solution. I sent a pic of my panel and he remembered that I upgraded my kitchen a while back but noticed that my electric stove had it's own dedicated line. He asked me, did you convert to gas when you remodeled? I said yes and he said, great, we take the line that was dedicated to the stove and we use that. It saved me $1500 and it worked perfectly.
