"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

"My 36-year old AC died. Joey V came to evaluate the problem. As feared, that AC unit was unrepairable due to its freon type being banned years ago. Joey went in the attic and noted my gas furnace was 24 years old and the insulation around my ductwork was crumbling into dust. After Joey presented me with all of the options, I selected a full HVAC system replacement (heat pump) and replacement of all ductwork. Triton's financing was very reasonable (15 years, <7%; my credit union couldn't beat it). Joey scheduled me for a week out (it's their busy time of year), said Monday for the HVAC system, Tuesday for the ductwork. Come Monday, I got a call saying they were sending 'a whole crew' at 8:00 and that the whole job was going to be finished in one day. My crew; Tim, Juan, JC, David, Dana, and Kevin; descended link helpful locust and took over the house. I had people in the backyard, in the attic, and in each room at one time or another. They answered all of my stupid question. They were polite and respectful of my home, family members, and pets. At 4:00, they were done and my house was cooling nicely. PROS: Excellent system. cools more quickly that the old horse we had had to put down. The heat pump warmed quickly too when they tested it. I cannot tell in July about the full heat pump experience in January, but I've had one before, years ago, in a different house, and been satisfied. CONS: They mostly cleaned up after themselves, but I did have to do a little more vacuuming after they left. Driveway needed sweeping. A plant on my lawn got trampled while they were measuring and assembling new ductwork. Joey, the initial tech who sold me the system, talked about the tax incentives in the sales phase, only to tell me that he 'had just learned' of a salary threshold that reduces the tax incentives available to me."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."
