"I've personally seen how building or making modifications to your home can be very stressful. In early August of this year, we signed a contract with Ocean Break to demo our old deck and build a new deck/3 Season room combination. We found them on Home Advisor. From day one, the operation was totally professional. Peter Walsh, the owner of ocean break, quickly provided a proper contract capturing the results of the interview that preceded the start of work. The work promptly commenced shortly thereafter. The first phase of the project, the framing, was efficiently completed in a little over a week. Peter is the type of contractor who encourages you to be involved, choosing materials and colors and watching the daily progress of the project. He is happy to go over the work that has been done each day being sure to point out things he thinks you should know. All of the workers were extremely friendly and professional. My wife and I actually looked forward to seeing them bright and early each morning. Peter was extremely patient as we often changed our minds about design features and materials. He encouraged me, a veteran, to personally purchase many of the materials at Home Depot and Lowe's so that I could get my 10% veterans discount. The entire project was completed on schedule and within a reasonable Delta of the original projected price. As inevitably happens, we changed a few things from the original plan which appropriately increased the cost of the project. Peter always reminded us of when such deviations took place so that there would be no surprises at the end. The project was completed a little over a week ago. There was the inevitable punch list at the end which Peter took care of immediately. He even reused the section of gutter that had been cut off the house to accommodate the new room to save us money. With two weeks remaining in the project, Peter gave us a final figure and he stuck to it. So, now my wife and I have a three Season room and deck which we love. and, I'd like to think, we also have a good friend in Peter Walsh whom I highly recommend. One final point. As I watched the final vinyl plank be installed on the floor, without a single plank being ripped, I realized that, because it fit perfectly, the room was perfectly Square. Now that is skill and craftsmanship!"

"They did an amazing job. It was a full remodel of a shell of a lake side cottage. They did everything from the special environmental permits, demolition of a derelict sunroom. And a full gut of the interior down to the studs. They worked with me on a floor plan. They built a beautiful large deck. Ingrid and her team supervised all of the electrical, insulation, and plumbing through out the cottage. Her team then connected me to the town sewer which needed a six foot ejection pump to reach the road side. The interior is amazing. They did such a great job creating space out of such a small footprint. Subway tiled bath/shower. Heat pump system with the spray foam insulation works super efficiently. Ingrid and David made my lakeside cottage dream a reality. And they did this all with no direct access to the property with vehicles. All the construction debris was moved by trailer and 4x4. Just above and beyond."

"I met  with John DiMauro  from Ocean State Home Improvement  in early September  of this year. He was very acommadating with meeting me at my home in south county ,RI. It was a little difficult for me as I live out of state approx 1.5 hours away, from the house where I intended to have the work done. I had already met with 3 other contractors, Ocean State Home Imp. was the fourth.I was first impressed by  the fact that the person meeting with was the actual owner of the company. He was not a sales man, or  a one man show. He was the owner of an actual company that had a 30+ year history and a crew of experienced installers. He not only was the owner of this company but he had worked as one of the crew for his father that owned it before him. I could tell right away  that this was a family business, and there was a lot of pride in that. I knew that day that he was the contractor I wanted, I gave him a deposit and signed a contract. <br />       I was hoping  to try and have the work done before the end of the year, John  told me we could plan on getting this started in 7-8 wks after signing the contract.  So I was thinking around the first couple weeks of  November. They were actually ahead of schedule and started Oct 19th.  I was a little nervous about having all this going on, and not being around so I would travel 2-3x a week to the house to see how things were going. The crew that  John sent was amazing. Mike, Nick, Wilson and Matt were there at 8am in the morning worked all day, were very polite, always took time to talk to me give me updates on what was going to happen and when, answered all my questions. Never once complained about having to work around things that the people who lived in the house might have in the way. Extremely professional all the way!  John had estimated that the job would probably take a couple weeks, and I honestly have to tell you I had my doubts, but I was ok with it taking longer I wanted the job done right not fast. <br /> Exactly 2 weeks later on Oct 30th the job was finished completely. They left the property spotless. The work was expertly done and I couldn't be happier with it. I have received many compliments from friends and neighbors, even my 80 yr old father approved and he rarely approves of anything!  I would not hesitate to recommend  Ocean State Home Improvement to anyone! <br />"
