"Excellent experience! Home Care is a very professional business and our concerns were handled courteously and promptly. An appointment for a thorough inspection of the exterior and interior of the chimney was arranged shortly after our first call. The compromised part of the chimney was protected with a tarpaulin which was attached so securely that it remained in place during this winter's high winds. Mr. Atchley met with us to discuss the problems. He presented options, listened to our preferences, and made additional recommendations. We received a detailed estimate shortly afterwards. The work was started on schedule and the work crew arrived on time each day, so we never had to wait for their arrival. The crew cleaned up each day, respecting our home and property through the removal of our old chimney and fireplace and installation of the new materials. We were kept informed during the process so we were always aware of the progress of the work and what would be done the next day. Our rebuilt chimney is of superior craftsmanship to the original. The new gas fireplace and tile surround looks amazing and is the focal point of our living room. Our house is warmer and quieter as a result of this project. "It turned out okay. I wouldn't rate them as great. They did the job but I probably wouldn't recommend them. They came out and gave a lower estimate but I didn't know they were going to use the old brick. The chimney and the bricks were starting to chip. The only thing they replaced was the bricks that were chipped. Another company told me that had a higher estimate, they'll come in and give you a lower estimate but they'll use your same old brick which is what they did. They did replace maybe 8 or 10 bricks out of the whole chimney. When they showed up with their truck, I thought they had a load of bricks. They charged me $50 or $100 for a cheap cap to put on it. I could probably buy one for $30 at Lowe's or Home Depot myself. I said I don't want that, just turn out my old one. It's too late now, we've already bought it. I said, you can't take it back to the store? No. It serves a purpose a guess, but I wouldn't know."

"Great service. Came out and repaired and cleaned fireplaces and checked the bricks and mortar. Charged me $100 to come out. Chimney place in Holly wanted $329 for 1st fireplace and $299 for 2nd fireplace to come out. That price included a mandatory cleaning. Crazy!! Sanford was reasonable, efficient, and friendly. Definitely recommend."

"I've used Husband For a Day several times and once again they did a great job. The siding and trim on my chimney was in need of replacement due to weather induced rot. I had wanted to replace the wood based materials with composites because of exposure to the elements. Dale came out and gave me a detailed estimate and work was scheduled promptly. This was a difficult job requiring a lot of effort and working in high places because my chimney is not straight or on the side of the house. But both the carpenters and the painter didn't bat an eye. They clambered up on the roof and even up on top of the chimney itself to get the work done and the result looks great! I will be sure to call on Husband For a Day for any future home repairs."

"Tim came out and gave me a prompt estimate in August. Said he was very busy and could not squeeze me in until end of September. Waiting was okay with me - the repair was not urgent. He texted me the day before he came with two other workers. They removed the old blocks and replaced with new. Also put a new cap on the porch. They were finished the same day. Tim came back the next day to remove the forms for the cap. Looks great. I'mm have him come back in the spring and replace the steps. and a couple foundation windows."
