"I'm finally getting around to writing a review, although the work happened awhile ago. When we noticed cracking in the walls at our house, we found three companies to call. I decided to hire the second company because they could do waterproofing in addition to structural repairs. I sure regret that decision! If I had called Ram Jack before hiring the other company, I would have been spared a two-year ordeal and the loss of thousands of dollars. Instead, I ended up calling Ram Jack for a second opinion, after problems developed with the other company. Curt and Ken (the owner) came to do an assessment of our house. They were thorough and looked at the whole picture to determine what issues needed to be addressed, rather than just trying to sell their products and services. Their only recommendations were to replace a rotting support post in the basement and to direct water away from the foundation. When I told Ken what the other company had recommended and that most of the work had already been completed, he seemed shocked but did not use this as an opportunity to trash his competitor. Other people who looked at our house were not as charitable! I think this says a lot about Ken's character. The one recommendation from the other company that I thought might be justified was to pier a corner of the house that had settled about two inches. I was ready to sign off on this work but Ken strongly discouraged me from doing it, explaining that it was purely a cosmetic issue and that future settling was extremely unlikely because the water issue had been taken care of. He told me to at least wait a year and reassess the situation, turning down what would have been a 15-20 thousand dollar job. What I did end up hiring Ram Jack to do, was to correct the problems caused by the other contractor and to get everything up to code. The City scrutinized all of the work done at our house because it was not up to code and the other company did not obtain the proper permits. Ken was willing to collaborate with an engineer and carpenter to get the job done at the lowest cost to me. Although some of the damage caused by the other company could not be remedied, I think he got the best results possible without doing more extensive repairs. Everyone I had contact with at Ram Jack was wonderful. They even offered to haul away debris left from a previous job. I sure appreciate Ken's willingness to take on a relatively small job and to step in and fix someone else's work; many companies are not willing to do that. If I ever have a need for structural repairs in the future, Ram Jack will be my FIRST phone call. I highly recommend this company."

Lupe Alvarado, the foreman, kept me informed as to what they were doing, gave me a suggestion or two on what we could do, and got the job done efficiently & completely. Two days later on Wednesday, I had a picture of the completed project. Great job. It wasn't just a mailbox. It was the timing, my not being there, and the urgent need all when they are very busy. She understood, took the task, and got it done. Very much appreciated. This company does excellent work and certainly is committed to doing the best job in a timely manner. "No one wants to hear that they need foundation work on their house, and the costly repairs necessary. After receiving some bids from other foundation repair companies, we really appreciated Bill's  opinion (owner of On Solid Ground) of our foundation.  He showed my husband and I where the issues were, explained what he was going to do, and how the work would be guaranteed.  The work was scheduled and we were told it would take about a week to complete. <br />      When the On Solid Ground crew came to do the work, they quickly got to work.  While watching the project, we witnessed our yard being dug up (around the house) and saw lots of mud...and more mud.  We thought our yard would never recover from this project.  To our surprise, when the work was completed, one would never know that we had any work done at all. The crew put fences back in place, filled in all the areas that were dug up, and left no debris or ruts in the ground.  In fact, I told one of the crew members that the yard looked better after they were done than before they started! <br />      On Solid Ground was professional, and worked long hours to complete the project in a timely manner.  I would recommend Bill and the crew from On Solid Ground to anyone having to deal with foundation issues. He has the knowledge and experience to trouble shoot areas of concern in building/home foundations."

"They were incredibly responsive during a very hard time. In the space of 4 days our home flooded (during a week when there were lots of homes flooding -- they had a foreman on site to take a look within 24 hours, when a competitor wouldn't have been able to even look at the problem for a month). In addition to our home flooding, our son was in a terrible accident and was in ICU for several days, and the hospital for 5+ weeks (he's still there as I write this). Some folks from our church called Justin at Western and asked if they could provide the labor and they could install the sump system to take care of the immediate flooding project. My wife and I weren't even there and between our awesome Church family and western they dug the trenches and installed a sump system to take care of the flooding issue. Western was super busy with the unprecedented flooding, but they worked with us. The second part of the project in preparing the foundation in a stairway to the basement hasn't been completed yet, but is scheduled, and I'm confident they'll do a great job with that too. I'll repost more info if I feel it is needed."

"it was done as described, the color matxch of old concrete and new patches was very drastic.  Eric came back in and cleaned the old concrete and antiqued the new patches to make then much less noticable. <br />"

"Had our place tested a year ago and found radon that exceeded safe levels. Life got in the way of having the necessary remediation performed at that time. Contacted them nearly a year later and they were just as responsive as if we'd talked the day before. Whether it was Shayla and Mary in the office, Jay coordinating the testing, Sam performing the installation, or Walter taking care of the electrical work, EVERY employee in the process reflected positively on the company. Sometimes you can find an occasional underperformer in a multi-step process. Not here. Very easy to deal with and excellent communication. Highly recommended!"
