It turned out there was some water under the old floor (well under grade) so James added plastic sheeting under the new floor. Also pointed steps. He brought as many a 5 workers to the job, all appearing very competent. The work looks great. Would definitely recommend Rock Solid."

"I couldn't ask for a better contractor. John Puma and his crew were outstanding. Extremely professional  and punctual.
When I first met John I got a positive vibe that he was going to be the one to do the job. I interviewed several companies and John gave me a fair price for the work he was going to do. He was very knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. I was getting water in my basement and we came to the conclusion that water proofing the foundation wall was going to be the rout to go.
He also re-pitched my pavers in the yard so that the water would not lay in the yard after every rain storm. He also added proper drainage in the yard to divert the water away from the house.
After the water proofing was done he and his crew poured new concrete throughout the driveway.
If you are looking to get this type of work done, look no further. This company did it right.

"I was referred to Carrea and Sons by a past landlord who had Jim do his driveway so I had seen the work and knew it was good.  I also saw that he had good ratings on Angie's list so I gave him a call.  It took a little while to get a return call, but once that happened he was quick to come out and perform an estimate.  He gave me the quote on the spot.  My wife and I later changed the "plan" so I called Jim up again to ask if he could adjust the estimate.  It took a bit of phone tag until we connected again, but he re-did the estimate for me over the phone as the change didn't really require him to see it again.  We had solicited 3 other quotes and all came in well above his number.  Since I had seen his work before and the reviews were so good I figured let's just do it - so I put my name on the list to have the work done.  That was in May and his company gets very busy in the summer so I had to wait until July for the work to be done but that was not a problem for me.  We touched base at the end of June and he scheduled me for the first week of July.  On the appointed day, he showed up on time with an army of men and trucks and tools and got right to it!  They finished the excavation and laying of the asphalt on the first day and prepped the apron for concrete work.  Another smaller team came out the next day (Saturday) and did the concrete work.  Jim came by near them finishing to inspect the work and that is the first time I paid him...I had not given him a deposit or anything prior to that.  I am not an expert in concrete or asphalt, but everything looks great and has been fine since and I have no reason to think otherwise.  He and his team clearly know what they are doing and are fast efficient and offer good prices."
