"Seemed to have done a very good job. I’m just curious why the business card given to me by the tech..Hamed has a different address 5422 Richenbacher Ave Alexandria, Va. And I question the invoice because it was sent to be electronically which was fine but it had a different telephone number under my name. And the charges $150 to diagnose but was actually applied to service provided, $150 and service to the GE stackable I was charged $150 for cleaning the washer and $100 for cleaning the dryer (only used a vacuum cleaner) and $125 to replace the water inlet valve Is Hotak Appliance Repair 5422 Richenbaker Ave Alexandria, Va and Hotak LLC 4507 S Four Mile Dr Apt 21 Arlington, Va the same company"

"It was not an easy job at all, but the patience and clear instructions of Wally C. from Neli Virtual Appliance Repair made it possible, and successful. Experience with tools and mechanical assembly required for my tasks, but Wally thought I could do it and he was right. If I couldn't complete the repair, I would have at least been sure of the diagnosis when I engaged a repair service. Money well spent either way. It's a brave new world!"

"I discovered on Sunday that my top load washing machine was leaking, called Service Master and Manni picked up right away, even though it was close to 9pm. He was able to schedule a technician to come see me Tuesday noon-2pm, and the tech, Lucky, arrived promptly at noon on that day. He diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered a replacement part, and came back the following day to install it, right on time. The total cost of service was $135 for the visit/labor (including both trips) and $90 for the part. I was happy to pay it for how quickly and easily this repair was. (And no, I could not have done it myself, it involved lifting up the whole thing and ordering specific parts I wouldn't have had the time or interest in trying to find on my own). I will definitely use them again."

"James at Wuerstlins Appliance Service was very helpful. He set up the appointment, looked up the parts needed to give me an idea as to how much it was going to cost. In discussing the problem, he told me that in many cases, the touch pad electronics separates from the sensor because the electronic module sags away from the touch pad plate on the front of the oven controls. I told him I noted that the control board wiggled when I touched it after I opened the rear of the oven. After talking to James I examined the oven again and noted that the tape holding the control panel to the face of the control glass on the front had become unglued. (Thanks, Bosch for putting your premium product together with double stick tape) I can easily repair the oven since double stick tape is the only remedy required so I cancelled the service call for the oven repair. <br /> When I called about the oven repair I also discussed that our Bosch microwave oven no longer made any audible noise when pressing keys or upon completion of cooking. James said that it was likely to be the main control electronic panel. James provided the price of the control panel at around $395 plus the $130 service call and about $60 for labor. Given the cost, I decided that we could live with a mute microwave oven since the total cost for repairs would be 3/4 of the cost for a brand new Bosch microwave unit. <br /> I was very impressed with the professionalism and honesty found at Wuerstlins Appliance Service. If I do have anything go wrong with an appliance, they will be the one that I call to have a repair made. <br />"

"ArcNet repair services review for services performed on 19 May 2020 Wendell was very responsive and answered my call first thing in the morning. He really didn’t have time to do the job the same day but because our freezer food was thawing out, he prioritized and came to repair the fridge at 7:30 at night after he had met all his other commitments for the day. This dedication and customer service was greatly appreciated. The issue and task were clear and agreed upon. Wendell and Howard were professional and did a good job and the issue appears to be resolved. Our only real issue was the charge of $150 for 12.5 oz of R132 and $200 for the 45 minutes or so of labor (no parts were changed and no diagnostics were performed). There was no discussion of cost up front (candidly i felt pressured to get someone out right away and I should have asked for trip charge and expected project charge). Overall, I was pleased with the job and really appreciated him coming out the same day especially so late in the evening and with the work. However, I am not happy with what I felt was too high of a charge."

"I reached out to Wooten 3-4 times over a week—left phone/vxmail messages and messages through Angies List app. Never received a call back or reply. I called Bray & Scarff (all my appliances are from them) and spoke to their service dept the same day; received a repair appointment for the following week. They called me 2-days before appt and again on the morning of."

"<p>Appliance Repair Technicians maybe competent to repair other brands, but if you have an LG appliance, you are much better off going with their factory-authorized service.</p> <p> My 6-year old LG front-loading washer was stopping mid-cycle and would not complete a load.  I called two other repair companies who said they did not service LG, so I thought myself lucky that Appliance Repair LLC said they would service it, and I made an appointment for Monday afternoon between 1 and 3 pm.  When the technician did not show or call by 3:30, I called the office and was told that he was detained on an earlier repair that had taken longer than expected, and he would not be able to come until the following day. Although I am retired and can stay home to wait on repairmen, this is still inexcusable in my book, as most customers must take off work for repairs.  The technician arrived on schedule the next day, and recommended replacing the  sensor assembly, at a cost of $280. I reminded him that the motor was making a groaning noise as it attempted to turn the drum, which suggested to me that the problem was with the motor, not the electronics.  He assured me that replacing the sensor would correct the problem. After he replaced the sensor, tested the washer without any load, and left, I attempted to do a load of laundry.  The same problems occurred, and I called the company back. They sent the technician out again two days later, who then confirmed that the motor was the cause of the problem. That would have been another $360 repair, so I elected to replace the machine instead. To their credit, Appliance Repair did refund the difference between the initial charge and the basic service call charge, so my final cost was $60.</p> <p>While researching a new machine, I noticed that the motors on LG washers have very extensive warranties on their motors. When the Appliance Repair technician asked if the washer was under warranty, I replied that it was 6 years old. He did not suggest that anything might still be under warranty, but it turned out that the motor had a 7-year warranty. I called the LG service line, and was told I would be charged only for labor to install the new motor.  They dispatched a technician the next business day, who confirmed the motor was defective and also under warranty. He also pointed out that one of the three drum supports was broken.  These are shock absorbers that support the drum of a front-loading washer as it does its fancy turns. If one is broken, the drum is unbalanced and won?t turn properly, which was the cause of the burnt-out motor. He seemed surprised that the previous technician had not reported this, as it was clearly visible with the washer back open for service. He replaced the motor, broken support, and a third item he found, for $267, and the washer worked perfectly.</p> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Temple Hills, MD

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
