"Recently had JRs out for a bid on having our home painted. After speaking with Steve, the owner, we knew then we would hire them for the job. Steve is a very professional, detail oriented business owner that takes pride for his work. We will 100% hire Steve and his business for future projects"

"Jose and his team were open to my many questions and offered their professional suggestions when installing my bathroom wall tile. They were also very mindful of the rest of my home and protected my floors and cleaned at the end of their workday. They were punctual and arrived daily as scheduled, no unscheduled skipped days or late arrivals. One of the tubs which was installed began to leak, however, they responded quickly and resolved the issue without hesitation."

"Got quote for turnkey job to paint interior, install all new lighting, remodel kitchen, install new garages doors and openers. Upgrade water heater and various other repairs. The lighting was done (one light doesn't work), the painting was done (except 8 interior doors included in quote), the kitchen remodel was done (except forgot to install garbage disposal and two cabinet doors are not hung), the water heater was replaced with the same type that we had (not the tankless quoted), the 3 garage doors were hung (two are off track and openers not installed), also did not remodel a downstairs bath which was quoted and failed to install a barn door. Unfortunately, I paid for the work except for a 5% hold back because at the beginning it was going very well. Once the amount of work left exceeded the small amount owed, the contractor disappeared and has been unresponsive to our attempts to reach him."

"Mr. Turner of Turner Enterprises came out to my house to access the painting job. He gave me a good quote, and his team would be able to start the next day, so I agreed to use his company to complete my painting needs. The next morning, Rafael showed up at the agreed upon time. He was friendly, professional, and competent in his craft. His wife helped him paint. She went above and beyond the scope of her responsibilities in that she cleaned whatever was behind the refrigerator when Rafael pulled it out to paint behind it. She dusted off and cleaning the exterior of my piano. She dusted blinds. They were an awesome team. And they were able to finish very quickly. I am so glad I chose the company that used Rafael and his wife. "

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Texas City, TX

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
