"They're very responsive. They came out to check thing when we had questions. The work, they came out a couple times to train the new thermostat they installed. They were fine. It took about a week. They had to come out and look at stuff. Then give the estimate and then we decided on it. They had to order the stuff. Then we discovered the hot water piece needed to be completely done so they ordered that piece. So it was about a weeks job."

"When Jim came to evaluate the situation I told him the consensus of the other companies.  With the square footage of my house he couldn't believe the 5 ton wouldn't cool the house.  Especially since I installed drop shades on the west side.  After looking in the attic at the duct system he told me the ducts were not sized correctly and not connected.  I just paid another company to connect all the ducts!!!  After careful consideration his solution was to put a mini split in the master bedroom since it was the furthest point from the A/C and tie off that duct and install new duct work from the blower to all the registers.  He also installed 3 new registers in the living room and kitchen since the only registers were to the evaporative cooler (swamp).  Also installed an additional air return to help circulate the hot air on one side of the house.  Again he told me there was no reason the 5 ton unit shouldn't cool the house (minus the master) and it seemed ridiculous not to use what I had efficiently.  I agreed and he began the project.  It took a little longer than planned because it was so hot in the attic he and his service person Tate could only stay there until about noon.  I didn't blame them and since I still had cool air from the swamp cooler it was O.K.  The project was completed and so far the house has been cool and very nice.  He is going to have me use the system for awhile and decide if the thermostat needs to be moved to a different location which is also part of the price.
As others have said, Jim doesn't try to sell you additional services or equipment you don't need.  It's not often you find a company that the owner is on site everyday and checking to make sure his technician is doing the job correctly.  I believe he is a man of his word and if this solution didn't work he would do something else to make sure the house did cool.  I will highly recommend him to all my friends and he is my heating and cooling guy.

"I had noticed the soil on a lower level of the garden wet just over a week before I had it fixed. I could tell that it was from a pipe coming into the property from the water main and hate wasting water. 
I checked through Angie's List and Top Contender seemed to be the only company that had the qualifications for finding leaks on hillside properties. I called then on the Friday and the earliest they could fit me in was the following Wednesday. I was a little concerned as the leak was near a retaining wall near the sidewalk but as it wasn't getting worse I waited. 
Noél called to say he would be 30 mins late and he diagnosed where the pipe was in 15mins, uncovered it and saw that it had been soldered in numerous places already. He turned the water main off and I turned on all the cold water faucets. He vacuumed the water out, but it still took over an hour and a half for the water to completely drain from the pipes. Noél would not solder until there was no more water dripping.
The water he had vacuumed we emptied into a 40g drum I use for recycling and watering the garden. 
After hearing horror stories about the cost of repairing underground leaks I was extremely pleased with his price which included a senior citizens discount. I would DEFINITELY use Noél again for this type of job. Very professional and honest.

"I called and setup an appointment for the afternoon.  The dispatcher called back in an hour saying the plumber was free earlier and came immediately.  He was there within an hour and gave me an estimate for the replacement and upgrade that I wanted.  I agreed to the price and within 3 hours I had a new water heater.  I can?t imagine where they could have done any better.
