I am very happy with the new roof and I was very impressed with how thorough and how well they cleaned up after they were finished. I could not find one nail or piece of trash. "Shai and the folks at Above and Beyond Home Improvement were top-notch: excellent work ethic, punctual, hard-working, and very attentive to detail. Luis, the foreman, walked me through everything they were doing. He invited me up to the roof at the end of each day to show me what they had done and provided photos of the various stages of their work. The crew cleaned up at the end of each day, as best they could, and when they were all done, our yard was probably cleaner than it had been. The price made me catch my breath initially (more than I've ever spent in my life!), but it was fair and comparable to our other estimates, even a bit lower. And when I consider the cost of the materials, the labor, and the various people who had to be paid, I think the price was very fair indeed. They did, after all, completely remove our old roof and give us a new one. Most importantly, they did quality work and cut no corners. The whole job took around 10 days, which I thought was very reasonable. I give Above and Beyond Home Improvement my highest recommendation."

"The project was replacing a few shingles which went missing when a weatherhead was replaced by others, and sealing a few holes from the weatherhead replacement. In addition, the east side of the house and part of the north side are two story and needed pressure washing, staining/sealing, and trim repainting. The work was clear in advance, was done well and quickly without being rushed, he kept me fully informed as he worked, no surprises, as honest as you could ask for. Showed me what will need to be done in a few years. I consider myself lucky to have stumbled across him."

"Felipe and his crew did a large project for me (back porch) and myriad smaller items to repair our new home. Short version: I'll definitely be using them again and recommending them, but you need to be engaged. They are not a set-and-forget crew. In general, the quality of the work is high. The porch is exactly as we imagined it and we're quite happy. The only issues I have with some of the work is the fit and finish. Roofing nails missing the joists weren't redone, so now there are nails hanging into my porch. The ramset nails they used to attach the base plate to the concrete pad had some kind of wax/rubber around them which wasn't completely removed prior to painting, so there are weird nubs sticking up on the base plate. Some of the screws on door moulding weren't puttied over. The biggest issue I had with them was communication and scheduling. Felipe forgot a few parts of the project and things got dropped a few times. It worked out because I was paying close attention, but I think he may just have too much going on so things will fall between the cracks. Scheduling was a regular issue. Our project took place right outside of our bedroom, so we wanted to know the night before if they would be there. It was about 50/50 whether they'd give us that heads up. They also broke an expensive high security lock and I was not reimbursed or discounted. On the scale of the project, it was a rounding error in cost, but it's the principle of the matter on that one."
