"Warren Sawyer and his crew are not just professional and competent landscapers - they are also artists. After first removing several large tree stumps, they graded the property, installed drainage pipes and granite steps.  Working with the terrain, they sculpted our land to create a terraced pathway with stone steps that blend naturally into the look of our property. Additionally, they created beautiful curved planting beds, a bluestone patio and walkway areas with organic shapes, and seeded the lawn.  After our initial meeting with Warren, he returned with a preliminary plan.  During all meetings and discussions about the plan and the work, he thoughtfully listened to us and provided guidance and expertise in a collaborative manner that facilitated a very pleasing end result.  He and his team always answered our many questions in a professional manner, educating us about our various options. Warren presented a clearly written statement of work so that all parties knew what was included in the job. We (not Adams Landscaping) had some timing/logistical issues which required some of the work to be done in phases, and they worked with us and our schedule to complete the items as agreed. At our initial meeting, we had asked if our yard could be saved.  We can enthusiastically say that it has been and we are enjoying our new and very improved professionally and artistically landscaped property. We would highly recommend Adams Landscaping and will continue to use them for additional work that we are considering."

"We were extremely happy with the work, approach and price.  From the very first contact George was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  He came over, did a proper review of the locations where the TV's were to be installed and gave us good idea's and advice on how to hide the boxes in the kitchen together with his written proposal via email.
Also I liked the fact he did not push to supply the various pieces of equipment and was happy for us to choose what he provided versus what we bought and provided.  He gave us good advice on what TV's/Speakers to go for and respected the budget we wanted to work within.
On the day of the job itself George and his co-worker arrived on time, were very tidy and also gave us an accurate estimation of how long it would take to finish the work.  Throughout the process George gave us good advice and wad a pleasure to work with.  I would highly recommend this company.

"Needed a a cleanup and some general TLC for my yard before a family party the upcoming weekend. Explained the work needed and the hard deadline we had, Scott came out and provided a reasonable price. We set a date and after a day of rescheduling the team was out the next day. They did a great job addressing the areas I noted and even spruced up some extras without having to be asked. Work came in at the quoted price and now my family party can happen as planned. Would recommend!"

"Friendly and quality professional workers. Getting an initial appointment scheduled with them was a bit of game of phone tag, but once that was scheduled I had a good experience. Mike came by before providing an estimate, he clearly laid out what he wanted to do and I received the quote 2 days later. They clearly answered my questions before scheduling the work. I had them change all outlets and lights on my 3rd floor which included adding new wire and breakers to my box on the 1st floor. They completed the work for 6 outlets, 6 lights and a new breaker/wire in 3 mornings. They created way less holes in my walls than I was expecting, all holes were very clean cut and easy to patch. Things were dusty from cutting drywall but overall everything was left very clean above my expectations. I did have to call them back to get info about quote/schedule/invoice every time. But the people on the phone were friendly and also responsive in their follow up."

"He is very friendly and honest.  His price is, as far as we can tell, very reasonable.  He pulls permit, knows the code and builds it right.  His one weakness is he sometimes calls to say he can't make it when promised.  Like a lot of contractors, he's juggling a lot of jobs and isn't as reliable as to dates as you'd hope.  But he doesn't leave you high & dry and he does follow through."

"Very satisfied! There was a storm brewing during the timeframe they were supposed to come out. Called and said we needed to reschedule. Was quickly resceduled to an agreeable time and day a couple of days away. They came out promptly and took care of the repalcements. We had the lights for them to install. All went well and would definitely use them again."

"IT was great! I have never had a problem working with this company. The people (from the customer service reps to the billing to the drivers) have all been honest and realistic with expectations, answered all of my questions and never charged me more than what is advertised on their website. Patricia and Victoria have gone out of their way to return my many phone calls on the weekends too. You just don't get customer service these days anymore like the bullbag provides. They came when they said they would, did what they said they would do and did it professionally and pleasantlly. It is a pleasure working with such an honest and reputable company. Especially since the dumpster industry has not been know for this! These guys are definitely setting the bar high for all their competition."

FAQs for outdoor lighting plan and installation projects in Townsend, MA

Permit requirements for outdoor lighting vary depending on your location and project scope. Simple fixture replacements don't require permits, but projects involving new electrical circuits, extensive trenching, or significant system expansions often do. Local building departments establish these requirements, and many professional electricians handle permit applications as part of their service package.

The timeline for outdoor lighting installation varies based on project complexity. Basic systems might require only one to two days for complete installation, while extensive lighting networks with numerous fixtures and complex wiring needs could extend to a week or longer. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and soil characteristics can all influence how quickly professionals can complete your installation.

Outdoor lighting offers both practical and aesthetic benefits that many homeowners find valuable. Beyond enhancing nighttime visibility and security, well-designed lighting can highlight architectural features and extend outdoor living hours. While installation represents a significant investment, quality lighting may potentially increase property appeal and could contribute to overall home value.

Some outdoor lighting projects are suitable for homeowner installation, particularly simple solar fixtures or low-voltage systems that plug into existing outlets. However, projects requiring new electrical connections, permanent wiring, or integration with home electrical systems demand professional expertise. Electrical work carries inherent safety risks, and improper installation could create fire hazards or code violations.

The operating cost for outdoor lighting depends primarily on your fixture types, bulb selection, and usage patterns. Energy-efficient LED fixtures consume significantly less electricity than traditional incandescent or halogen alternatives. Controlling your lighting with timers, photocells, or motion sensors can further reduce energy usage by ensuring lights operate only when needed or beneficial.
