"<p>Allied Tile's estimate was the highest estimate I received, but I decided to use them because I had the impression they would do an excellent job and the installers would be journeyman level. </p> <p>They called me after the scheduled start time on the first day to reschedule for the next day because an employee had car trouble. The following day the owner and two employees arrived on time. The owner started the installation, instructing the other two employees as he was working. After about half the tile was installed, the owner left and the other two employees completed the installation of the tile. They were joking around, talking the entire time they were here and seemed to be in a rush to finish. </p> <p>After they left for the day, I realized much of the tile installed after the owner left was not straight. They were scheduled to return the next day to complete the grout. The next morning I spoke to another one of the owners and explained the concerns I had with the installation. He was somewhat rude and obviously in a rush to get off the call. The same two installers returned and another owner came by later. He instructed the two employees to remove many of the tiles they had previously installed, so they worked on that for several hours and then completed the grouting. While they were working, they were using a bucket that leaked water over a large portion of my floor, which I helped them clean up. In addition, I had to ask them to cover my counter top because they placed tools directly on the counter. My house is new, and I was concerned about them causing damage. </p> Because the grout was installed before I was given the opportunity to approve the replaced tiles, I reluctantly decided to live with a backsplash that still is not level. Although we furnished the tile and they used extra material to replace the poorly installed tiles, there was no offer to adjust the installation charge. <br />"

"<p>Lisa and Chris at Romancing the Stone put up with me not making up my mind for two years. When I finally decided what I wanted everyone I dealt with was great.  The crew showed up each day on time and were very pleasant, neat and did a very good job.   It was suppose to take 4 days and it did.  In the process of deciding what I wanted and where to get things Lisa returned my e-mails/phone calls promptly.  Only glitch was the crew forgot to turn the gas for the cooktop back on..  The only reason I am even mentioning this is because I thought everyone should know that  Lisa was out to dinner  with her family when I e-mailed her and she came over right after they finished dinner and turned it on.  She could have waited and had her crew come over the next day, but she took the time to do it herself...I was impressed..  My kitchen looks better than I thought it would and I love it.</p> <br />"

"It went good considering the pandemic. Right in the middle of the whole thing my wife and i got covid. They have a good crew of guys each one has there strong points that get the project done. Mike overseeing the project and keeping me informed on what is going on while doing the plumbing and filling in wherever he is needed. Rick did our tile. Kevin did our floors, and darney is the finisher who makes it all shine. Honestly you guys killed it. I am not easy to work for. And most of all thank you for respecting our dogs. Ya we are happy"

"The quality of the solid and Engineered wood is very high. Compared to previous product I experienced from other suppliers their finish is harder and less chances of being scratched. Each box of the Solid wood always has two 7' long planks. This give you enough long planks to be used in special situation like establishing the reference start line while installing. Mill work is good, so installation went smoothly. The problem I don't like is that they charged me two different shipments because the solid and the Engineered wood comes from different parts in the US."
