"Mr. Ridenour responded promptly to my inquiry about tree removal and treatment, scheduled an appropriate time to come out for an estimate, came out on time, gave me a fair price and scheduled a time to come do the work, and had a team do the work all within two weeks. Mr. Ridenour arrived right on time with the crew to review with the foreman and I what the work would be. They dove right in and worked quickly and safely through a pretty hot morning. When all was said and done, they'd removed four diseased trees, treated and trimmed one diseased tree, ground the stump from one tree, converted two of those trees into nice fireplace size logs for me and trimmed some pine branches off the exterior of my house. My firewood was neatly stacked, all the twigs and pinecones were raked up and disposed of and everything was complete within three hours or so. The crew was friendly, polite, professional and made sure to check with me at various points to ensure felling the trees didn't destroy any of my favorite trees, shrubs or plants in the vicinity. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and while I hope not to have any more diseased trees that need to be taken down, I now know who to call."

"I’ve used Fred &Sons three times over the last two years to remove unwanted furniture and other items from my home. They are very responsive, and typically complete the work a day or two after my contact. Their crews are efficient, and are very polite and careful to avoid damage to my home. For example, they removed a very bulky, heavy old freezer from my basement without needing to remove the banister on the stairs or leaving any damage on walls or doorways - a true mark of experience . Jimmy came out to do the quote, we walked the property and he told me exactly what would be done with each tree.   I appreciated this as the other companies I contacted came out and did a walk around and left the quote and did not know which trees I needed service on. I was not aware when they actually did the quote.  One of the estimated was for almost 3 times the amount of Jimmy's quote.

Jimmy did the actually trimming and his crew was great to work with.   They did an excellent job on the trees and everything was cleaned up afterward.  Their price was very reasonable for the work they did.

"Getting an estimate and scheduling with A Better Tree was more of a fluid process than I'm accustomed to. There was some rescheduling and talk of shooting for certain weeks with a call a day or two ahead of time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something everyone should be aware of, as some might not be comfortable or able to accommodate this type of arrangement.

The estimate with Dale went well and I appreciated his honest and straightforward approach to doing business. We discussed which items needed to be addressed, those that could wait but would need to be taken care of in the coming years, and those, which could be left alone. After agreeing on which items I would like to be considered, he wrote up an estimate. It wasn't the lowest I received but it was far from the highest. I ultimately went with A Better Tree based on price, comfort of doing business with Dale during the estimate, and his method of climbing trees rather than brining in a truck with bucket.

As I mentioned, scheduling of the work was more fluid than some people might be accustomed to. Thankfully I had enough flexibility to consider their approach, but I'm sure there are others who need something more ridged and concrete. Dale and his crew arrived in the morning and promptly got to work. They worked quickly and efficiently with Dale climbing, roping, and cutting, and the others lowering and removing debris.

I was very pleased with the quality of their work and the value I received. Furthermore, I had multiple neighbors inquire about A Better Tree after seeing the results and learning the cost for services was much more reasonable than they expected or, in some cases, had paid a different company in the past.

Although I have since moved, I have recommended them to several friends and would have no hesitation using A Better Tree again, if I returned to central Indiana.
