"Gary and his team did a very good job installing our Bilco doors.  I had used Egress Systems at my previous home to install an egress window and was pleased with their workmanship on that project, so I decided to use them again at our new home.  They were not the least expensive, but their pricing was competitive. <br /> <ul> <li>Gary is very easy to work with and his team are punctual.  They showed up exactly when they said they would- not early, not late.</li> <li></li> <li>They are good communicators and kept me informed both prior to the job starting as well as while the work was being performed.  My project was originally scheduled for February, but we had to delay to May due to weather/snow.  To Gary's credit, he brought his crew and equipment out to start the job but decided to postpone due to the soft ground conditions.  I value a contractor that is willing to make the right call for the customer, even if it means that they might lose some revenue short term.</li> <li></li> <li>Gary and his crew performed the work with great workmanship.  They were careful to protect our grass with mats and they took the time to excavate precisely and neatly.  They did a good job controlling the water and debris from the wet saw in the basement and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done.  Our door is hung straight and closes nicely.  The Bilco doors are well sealed and we have had no water getting into the basement after two hard rains since the installation. </li> <li></li> <li>My only very minor complaint is that they left the shims used to install the entry door proud after the job was completed.  This was very minor and took me 5 minutes to trim with an oscillating tool after they left.</li> </ul> <br /> This project took a full 2 days.  Day 1 was layout and preparation, excavation of the hole and cutting the basement wall for the door followed by temporary covering of the hole overnight.  Day 2 the precast steps were delivered and installed, the hole was back-filled and the entry door was installed. <ul> <li></li> <li>Overall an excellent job-  I would definitely recommend them to others and would use them again.<br /> <br /> </li> <li></li> </ul> <br />"

"SUPER. After submitting my original request for a quote with all pertinent measurements, I received a quote within 2 days of my submission. After checking the measurements on the quote, I discovered some errors in my measurements and contacted the company. They returned my call in 1 day. After I gave them the changes, they emailed me a new copy of the quote, the price was the same but reflected my changes. I approved the quote and submitted payment method. 3 weeks later the door was delivered to my house. Door was manufactured of 12 gauge steel and coated with oxide primer coating as promised by the company. The measurements I supplied to Steelway were adhered to exactly, it was a perfect fit. Completely professionally manufactured in a very reasonable period of time. The cellar door was shipped from PA to GA via truck and arrived without any damage. I could not have been more pleased with the end product. The fit was good that it took less than 1 hour to install it. I would highly recommend Steelway Cellar Doors. The price was only slightly higher than any of the available standard doors which would not fit. I would give them 10 Stars if that was available."

"Every step of the job went well. The estimator, Walter, was easy to reach by phone. We made an appointment for him to visit the house and he arrived on-time. He did the measuring, explained their process, offered me product choices, and gave me an estimate. I wrote him a check for the deposit. He laid out a timeline for the work. Two weeks later, Walter called to say that the replacement windows were available. We scheduled an installation date two weeks out. On that day, the two installers arrived on-time. They worked hard for nine hours and got all twelve of the new windows installed. They cleaned up, accepted my check for the balance, and hit the road. The finished windows are excellent. They fit perfectly and look great. A first-rate job end-to-end."

"I hired Window & Door Outlet to replace nearly all of the windows in my home. Sam was very helpful and not at all pushy. After shopping around I went with Window & Door Outlet as the Sunrise Windows that they sell seemed to have some of the best performance characteristics, warranty, and overall positive reviews. The price was also very competitive. Installation of 25 or so windows took 2 days and was scheduled 2-3 weeks after the order was placed, just as anticipated. I was very pleased working with Sam and the ordering process but the installation has some room for improvement. The installation crew was not Window & Door employees, which I was not aware of. They didn't do a great job protecting and dented or loosened a handful of the window sills as they pryed out the old windows. They also left bits or insulation, vinyl, and shards of glass in the yard. They got the job done and were friendly but there is room for improvement. Also as an FYI.... I opted to get low-e glass since the additional cost was minimal. The low-e coating that Sunrise uses is not great visually (in my opinion). It has a pronounced green tint to it, though others may not find the tint to be an issue. We're getting used to it. In the photo the left window is an original window that hadn't been replaced yet and the right is the new Sunrise window with low-e coating. Overall I was pleased with Window & Door Outlet and would use them again as well as recommend them to others, though request a different installation company."
