He arrived w/ 1 worker to assess parts needed, sent me a link via text for me to order them, took a down payment from me for the job, said he would be back to install when parts arrived. After the parts were bought/delivered I contacted him over the course of months. Andres - JI Carpentry & Painting messaged me he would not return to finish the job then ghosted me. My experience found Andres of JI Carpentry & Painting to be an inconsistent, unreliable, dishonest professional who fails to meet industry standards for communication, quality and ethical behavior breaking promises and exploiting homeowners financially. While he's managed a few good reviews I highly recommend everyone consider it's not uncommon for negative experiences to go undocumented. His negative reviews on Angi are just the tip of the iceberg for this guy given what's undoubtedly, hiding under the hood. "

"We hired this company. I don't mind paying but when they missed so many areas. It's very frustrating and I have to finish the job myself. Anthony promised a great job and so didn't Nicole. I sure didn't even get a good job. The hand railings are super rough, and where the pressure washer chewed up the wood it was never fixed. It was definitely a hack job. I was promised over the phone a walk through at the end. It never happened. Couldn't communicate with the workers. I couldn't understand them. Definitely the pictures that they posted on other jobs don't match what I paid for. A very disappointing experience with this company. I would shop around.. plus I included Anthony in the last few emails and he couldn't even respond back. Awful !!! The handrails was addressed in after the power washing. The owner needs to go back and see the truth. I have the email saved!!!! Give me your email and I would be gladly to send it you!! You shouldn't be sparky when your team hacked my deck. I will be re-doing myself. Such a joke of a company."

"????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "

I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder.
