"Lowcountry Foundation Repair came highly recommended by our contractor and they did not disappoint. The team was AMAZING! Super responsive, professional, very hard working and diligent. The team worked clean and did a gorgeous job on our crawlspace encapsulation. Alex and his team (Francis & Dedric) were THE BEST. We really had a great experience and are so grateful for their expert work. They're really an impressive team."

"Had a retaining wall extending away from our house with a defective brick cap with failing masonry and bricks falling away left and right. We also had several spots on our brick house where the brick either separated or noticeable masonry cracks were developing. Of the two contractors I considered, Pete came by and took his time to understand the issues, match mortar and to propose long-term fixes (the first contractor just looked over photos and planned to repair what was a poor design). During the job, he gave expert advice on what areas to keep an eye on moving forward (i.e. spots where the home brickwork design could be a problem later). He also noticed a neighbor's brick chimney was actually leaning by 5-10 degrees and advised her to think hard about a repair in the near future, noting an expensive repair was far better than a collapsed chimney. In my case, he removed the existing bricks from the top of the retaining wall, preserved the vast majority of them (removed the attached mortar), poured underneath a new concrete base and reinstalled the brickwork in a way that apart from the mortar (lighter white, but essentially identically to existing) was really hard to distinguish from the rest of the house. He also removed / repaired mortar around multiple cracks around the house. And in one tricky area, he removed the outer half of several bricks (which separated on their own) and cut bricks to replace and re-mortar in a way that was again hard to distinguish from the surrounding brickwork. This was a 2 day job for Pete to complete. While the job was a little expensive, it was well worth the investment to make sure that the repairs would fully reestablish the harmony and attractiveness of our exterior brickwork. I am honestly a DIY kind of homeowner who really dislikes bringing in contractors, but there is no way that I could have done this on my own, at least not without leaving behind a series of eyesores... So if you care about your brickwork's useful life and appearance, or you have a complicated repair job, I highly recommend Pete."

"I got 3 quotes and I could not be happier with choosing Concrete Corrections. They quoted me on exactly what I asked for. They are very knowledgeable -- they explained everything and answered all of my questions. Their price was much, much better than the 1st two quotes. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend them."

"Dissapointing. I made an appointment for a free home inspection for a home I was about to purchase. The technician came early and met with the current owner. Upon my arrival, the tech was leaving. I informed him that I was the one who set the appointment. He said- "oh ok well- the house is fine". I then pointed out a couple of locations where the foors dipped he said it was not a structural issue- ok. I then showed him major cracks in the brick on both sides of the inside garage wall and he said it was normal settling and not a structural issue if you can't see same damage on the outside wall in same area. I then asked if he inspected the crawl space where the pillars were. He NEVER went into the crawl space! I asked if he could please take a look at the pillars and foundation so he suited up, crawled inside and came out within 5 minutes. "all looks good" he said. I then showed him cracks in the concrete front porch and how the wood railing was shifted- "normal settling" he said. Basically, his inspection consisted of walking around the inside looking for cracks in the interior walls that could have easilly been hidden with spackle and paint days or weeks ago. He left and I really did not feel satisfied with the quality of inspection. Perhaps I am just picky. I DID hire two different home inspectors, HVAC inspector and an electrician in addition to RamJack and I have since purchased the home and wouldn't you know- they ALL missed something that they shouldn't have. I trust no one anymore! I suggest you grab as many home inspections as you can. Good thing RamJack's was free but I would get a second opinion. <br />"

"The services were well-done and timely. The workers were easy to work with and pleasant to be around. They surveyed and analyzed the problems and gave a fair estimate of the cost to repair. They were a joy to work with!"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"
