"American Home Contractors did an amazing job on 2 projects in my home that not only make the house beautiful, but also will save me money in the long run. James did a great job of providing me with the necessary options and information to make an informed decision about my purchase of new windows and new door. He was very communicative and professional, providing a detailed estimate...which other companies I received quotes from for the same project failed to do. I knew exactly what I would be getting and exactly how much each part of the project would cost. I had such a great sales experience with James, I decided to have them replace my gutters as well. The work was done quickly and looks fantastic. I'm very pleased. When it came time to replace my windows and door, both James (sales) and David (installer) called me to let me know my parts arrived and scheduled a convenient time to complete the project. Our understanding was that there would be a comprehensive survey and report on the home.  The reality was that the company was focused on primarily energy conservation and doing work to make the home more efficient in that regard.  They took readings and checked airflow but never really identified specifically where the problem areas were or any of the readings they took.

In the end there was no "report" only a detailed quote for the list of work they suggested be done.  Based on the cost and the very long payback period based on their projection of utility savings we elected not to go forward with their services. 

The staff was responsive and was conscientious about follow up and scheduling but I really did not need three visits to accomplish what was done.

The technician, Dan, arrived early, ably assessed the problem, and the repair was done efficiently and effectively. Mine is a small commercial establishment providing medical services, and the technician was sensitive to the flow of the office, discreetly coming and going without disruption to patient care. Their billing system was automated, and very easy to complete, and a follow-up call to make sure all went well with the job was very much appreciated. "I love KSD. James and his crew are amazing! They did a good bit of work for us. Raised the floor of a sunken family room, added a wall, replaced a sliding door with a window, added a closet, gutted a powder room & closet and expanded it to a full size bathroom, added a concrete step to my patio, as well as all the small details...crown molding, chair rail, new carpets and planking, seamless drywall, electrical, three ceiling fan installations. They were prompt, arriving each morning when they said they would. They seem to be more project-based...day 1 was demo, day 2 was support beams, sub-flooring etc. They were definitely on top of things. I mistakenly purchased the wrong size shower base and they made the adjustments to the plan to make it work. James made sure to mention things that we hadn’t considered (this was our first big remodel!) and confirmed with us the little details that were important to make sure they were done right. James and his crew were very professional and superb with communication about every part of the remodel, and not to mention they were just the friendliest group of guys. :) We absolutely will be using them again for any other projects..and there is quite the list! "I contacted George based on the reviews here and had a truly great experience.  I could not have hoped for someone more professional, courteous and thorough.  His team was large enough to get the job done quickly and properly all while doing a great job. 
From the initial quote to getting the work done, George was punctual, responsive to texts and phone calls.  He made good suggestions to make our house look great and the execution was spot on.  We needed to have some porch railing bars replaced and instead of replacing the whole railing, he suggested replacing just the vertical posts that were damaged.  After painting, I could not tell original from repaired ones and the painting job was excellent.  He also made sure there was an extra coat of paint put on an exterior section of the house that he repaired to make sure it stood up to the sun and rain.
On the inside of the house, he repainted all of the walls and a couple of ceilings.  His team spackled blemishes, sanded and painted.  It is amazing and the house looks brand new!  There was no paint splatter on the carpet or floors and the edging was skilfully done. 
After all of this work, I only found a couple of spots that needed touch ups and he came by and promptly fixed these.
Overall, he and his team made this experience really easy and the result is fantastic.  I would highly recommend George and his team and we'll be using his services in the future!

"BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT !!!!! I purchased a 2 hr handyman coupon to fix an exterior door that wasn't closing properly. This door needed to be fixed. A hinge had come undone I had heard that “winter was coming”. The repairman arrived on time and he suggested an alternative fix to re-notching the hinges and tearing out the framing of the door. My door was closing perfectly in half an hour! This quick fix gave me time to address some repairs I had thought out of reach of this coupon. In short, within my 2 hours, my handyman had patched a crack in my concrete steps and in the driveway (using a mix I had on hand as well as some materials he had in his truck), moved my air conditioner to the basement, and performed many tasks that single women call “please move this and put it there”. All of this performed with courtesy and skill. Myriad Handyman Services has certainly earned my loyalty. Instead of filling up my time with an overkill fix of my door, my money could be spent on a list of other little things that needed to be done. Bravo, Myriad Handyman Services! Well done!"
