He's fair, responsive, and a straight shooter that will work with you. Replacing a roof isn't cheap, so when we saved up the money we called him and he worked within our budget and time frame. His team showed up on time and just went to work. They were very diligent throughout, including their clean up effort - which was spotless. Beyond the work of the team putting on the roof - Springfield sends their own in house inspector to double check the work afterwards, someone completely separate from the first team just to make sure everything is done, and done right. Gives us a lot of confidence that we made the right hire. And although we know we won't have any roof needs in the near term, we will always have Mike Bennett on speed dial. "The estimator came within a few days of my initial call. He was prepared to explain what a Solatube is. We had already seen them in a neighbor's house so he proceeded to see where we wanted them. He looked in the attic, took some measurements, and provided a written estimate on the spot. The estimate included the Angie's List discount. The installation was scheduled around some other contractors. On installation day, the team hit traffic but called to explain their delay. Jeff and Eddy proceeded to place the skylights and mark where the holes would go in the roof. They did a very careful and thorough job with the exterior installation; Amazing Skylights are very proud of their no leaks ever record and work hard to maintain that. While one installer was on the roof the other was preparing the duct work to go between the diffuser and the roof installation. The product is designed so that it accommodates any angle between the ceiling and the roof by simply twisting the articulated ducting. It is a very clever design and an easy way to ensure an exact fit. One of the solatubes was replacing an existing ceiling light fixture and we used that wiring to power a light kit in that solatube. There was a problem with the original light kit. The team ran a several tests to isolate the problem and concluded that it was a bad part. At no time did they even hint that it was something wrong with the existing light fixture. They replaced the faulty light kit with a new one and completed their work. The interior and exterior fit and finish is excellent. We've had several bouts of very severe thunderstorms as well as some prolonged soaking rains and there are no leaks. We are delighted with the light these solatubes provide, even on cloudy days. It looks like some left a bright light on in the interior bathroom and the hallway where we installed these solatubes."

"I contacted references prior to interview/site inspection -  all reference were very happy with contractor, but none of them had any insurance work done.  
Interview was favorable except the contractor did verify that he does not do much if any insurance work.  
The real problem was the inspection of the damage and his repair strategy.  First of all, despite the fact that his office insisted that I provide them a copy of the insurance company estimate ? he had not even looked at it prior to the appointment.  He had not read the detailed engineers report that outline the corrective action needed.  
His suggested approach to repair the damage did not follow the engineer?s recommendation.  Needless to say I did not have this contractor provide an estimate.  
Based on his references, he does great work for remodeling where he is in control of all aspects of the job.  Would not recommend for insurance work were he would be required to work with the insurance company / engineers in meeting recommended repair strategies."

"I bought an Angie's List Big Deal certificate for Fairfax Roofing Solutions after I had water leaking from a light switch box during a heavy rain storm. I called Chris Wallace the owner, first thing in the morning to schedule the inspection and repair. He was very flexible and was able to be out at my house 3 hrs later. They showed up, inspected the roof and made several repairs. I really appreciated how quickly they were able to fit me in. We had more bad weather forecasted and a potential hurricane coming through in a few days and they were able to schedule me and make the repairs immediately. I would definitely recommend them to others in the area.

"I sought out three bids from highly rated Angie's list roofing companies. I eliminated one company that would not provide an estimate unless they could present it in person with my wife present (code for high-pressure sales). The second company was great, but did not get their bid to me until almost a week after they promised it. By comparison, Joe Makay got right back to me on first contact and every time I had a question. He was able to work my project into the schedule within a week and got got the entire large and complex job done in just two days. The end result was outstanding and well worth the price. I only rated their price as a B because their cost was somewhat higher than the other (larger) company that bid; however I went with Mckay because they were more responsive and customer service focused. I felt confident they would take good care of me and they did just that."

"After a tree fell on our roof puncturing the roof and tearing down gutters, Peakroofing coordinated with our insurance and repaired everything back to it's original state. It took a while to get the carpentry work done because it was over the holidays and still under Covid-19 limits. Once they got started the work was very smooth and professional as well as communication for what to expect next. Hidden damage was promptly brought to my attention and even had a great recommendation for internal painting. Wish it could have been done sooner, but overall very happy with the process and results. Would definitely use use them again and also recommend."

"Tim has done two other family members roofs so I pretty much knew he would be the company doing mine. I had him out a couple years ago to take a look at my roof as I thought it was time, he told me then I had a couple more years left, what contractor does that?!? He also patched a small area for me....Side bar had him do some other work for me as well then. Fast forward to August 2020 called him and said time for the new roof. He came out gave an estimate with three options and in two weeks I had a new roof. Probably would have been sooner but the rain didn't cooperate. Tim and Lakewood are honest contractors that do great work, highly recommend this outfit for anything you need done at home."
