"WOW! Where do I begin? Dan and his team were amazing. We had a very specific idea for the floors in our new home construction and our builder told us it wasn't possible in our price point/a lot of work to find them and get the look we wanted. We found H & H Hardwood floor online and gave Dan a call. He was so knowledgeable, professional and informative. He was able to find us exactly what we were looking for with wide plank hardwood floors at an affordable price. Our builder really screwed up some timelines and made it super difficult on Dan to install the floors and finish the floors, but Dan was so accommodating and did his best to work around their terrible scheduling. He updated us at every turn, communicated incredibly effectively and gave us the most outstanding floors that were exactly our vision. On top of that, he was prompt and stuck to his timelines perfectly. Basically, this company is a gem and you should not hesitate to hire them! We are forever grateful for H & H and will recommend them eternally."

"We had both carpet and hard wood flooring replaced with all hardwood floors throughout the entire house. We also had the stairs and balustrade replaced. The team did a remarkable job. The quality of workmanship was exceptional and the cost very reasonable. We highly recommend Jason and his team."

"Master All Floors LLC. Did an amazing job, they replaced damaged and missing hardwood on our floors, then sanded helped us choose the right color stain, then sealed our wood floors. Their crew was extremely detail oriented and they were definitely up for this task, we love our new floors and can't wait to see and hear all our friends and family members reactions."

"D&S Flooring was recommended by a friend - and I am so glad to have had them do the flooring in my basement. Masood the owner returned my request or information very quickly, and scheduled a time with me to measure the floor. I already knew the LVP the I wanted, and he brought the sample to help me choose a coordinating carpet. He provided a fair price for the flooring and labor. Two different teams did the work - one team did the LVP flooring and one team did the carpeting. My basement looks brighter, and bigger, and I am very pleased with the entire process from order to completion. D&S Flooring definitely deserve a 5 star review for all they did on my basement. Thank you."

"The floors look great, no problem there. Sanding dust was well-contained and cleaned up. However the scheduling (and communication about it) was a problem. The work was finally begun after three delays, totaling nine days, after initially-promised start date. With two of those delays, Larry did not initiate contact; I called him to check when he would arrive. He said delays were caused by family issues and no-show workers. His floor work is great, but time management and communication need to be better."

"Luis and team were fantastic. They were very clean (put down paper on all of the floors), professional (on time), and they did an amazing job with the installation. The new wrought iron balusters look great!"

"AD Floors installed my living room hardwood floor after removing my old carpet. My living room looks lovely! They even help me moving my furniture. Great price and service!"

"Our floors look good and we didn't pay as much as we could have. However, I did not get the service I asked for and they did not complete the work on time. They were between 1 and 2 hours late every day. They fell a full day behind schedule but didn't tell me until it was so late that they had to change type statement of work in order to finish on time. As a result, I didn't get the flooring finish that I originally asked to receive.

I had to repeatedly remind the team about items on our contract that they kept forgetting. Javier, the manager, seemed to make up excuses to explain away their errors. For example, they forgot to finish an area of one room (and never ended up doing it). I confirmed during with estimate appointment and with the staff on the first day of work that the area would get re-finished. When the team forgot, Javier tried to say that it was obviously inaccessible, though it was more accessible than other areas that the staff were able to finished easily. They were also supposed to come back and do touch-ups but never did.

If Madera had told me that I would get what I got for the price I paid, I would have said it was good deal. Instead, the product I got was short of what I was promised and I ended up paying more that I was told. Classic over-promise/under-deliver error. However, when they remember to do the work it does look good. Just make sure you allocate more time that you are expecting in order for them to finish the job, and that your expectations are slightly less than the rosy picture they paint for you.

FOLLOW-UP

Madera followed up after the work to get feedback on the project and reached out a few months later to ask about specific areas where they could improve."

"We just completed several projects on a fixer upper and of the half dozen contractors we worked with, Annandale Floors was the best experience. They did a great job of walking through all of the different decisions (from stain and finish, to installing new hardwood in the kitchen). Karen was personable, easy to work with and always very responsive. The finished product is beautiful and the new wood matches seamlessly with what was already here. We were trying to get the job done before we moved in (and before our fourth baby was born!) and they were very conscious of that and got it done."

"I had the pleasure of working with PHF to install new floors and refinish my old ones. They have an amazing customer service, an work ethic, and leave you with a stunning product at a very fair price! I will not allow anyone else to handle my floors. Their craftsmanship is so superb, that we admire our floors everyday single day! IMHO, they are the best in NoVa!"
