"Daniel and the team were professional, considerate, honest and timely with their work. We had over 5 bids for our project which was a large investment and went through a long vetting process. "Beyond outstanding Nate and his team were extraordinary on every level from initial meeting with Nate through full completion of the extensive project. Our advise is do not spend your time getting several estimates from other deck builders. Even though the ones we did get to compare were okay, in the end hands down, that was not necessary. Nate is everything he and his company stand for in professionalism, attention to detail, and especially superb master craftsmanship at their trade. I watched day in and and day out the skill and integrity of the builders, measure, remeasure and check again before cutting any piece of material. They had the detailed plan's in one hand and their tools in another, and were constantly leaning over these plans to be sure everything was completed with extreme accuracy. And, the workmen just really seemed to love fulfilling their craft. They worked long and hard. And Nate was proactive in communicating any reason for not being on sight any given day - which was only weather related. Pre, mid and post interaction with the foreman who was also hands on, on sight was extremely comforting. In conclusion, we opted for the more expensive Trex and metal railings and are so glad we did. "About a year earlier than our project, several of the homeowners in our community with stucco homes had their chimney rebuilt and the stucco replaced as a result of mold, rotting wood, and other water infiltration problems. Seeing what our neighbors were doing and knowing about the problems with stucco in PA, we hired a stucco inspector who identified several areas around our house where the stucco needed to be remediated, including the chimney. JJ&E Construction agreed to remove the stucco and repair the areas identified by the inspector with the understanding that if addition underlying problems were found, they would be required to address them. Once the work started, it quickly became apparent that the original stucco was not installed correctly. JJ&E also found that the foundation on the back wall of our walk-out basement was not installed correctly and agreed to repair that. JJ&E removed all the original stucco, replaced any damaged or rotted wood, replaced any damaged insulation, and installed new exterior plywood, Tyvek® wrap, additional weatherproofing layers, aluminum wrap trim around the doors and windows, and stucco that meets all current codes. The craftsmanship of all the work was excellent."
