"This company was responsive during the estimation phase of my job. They arrived on time for the initial appointment and gave a good impression. They were also on time for the signing of an incomplete, one-sided and typo-filled "contract" and to pick up their initial check. (They also placed an advertising sign on my lawn without permission.) This was a "small job" (to them, if not to me) and they were busy on, I guess, more important jobs. So in early August, 2018 we set a date for early September to do the work. On the morning of the agreed-upon date, I called the company when they didn't show up. It was clear they had no idea who I was. When I asked if they knew where my house was, they gave me the name of a town 20 miles from here. They offered a variety of excuses in the vein of, "My dog ate the homework". In this case it was the weather, When asked why they didn't know a day or two in advance what the weather was going to be so they could email or call, they apologized. After that, they promised to keep me updated. That generated a series of emails that were either odd or badly timed. In one case that someone in the office emailed me a weather forecast, as if I wasn't able to find it myself. Another time, they emailed me at 10pm to say they weren't going to do the job on the day that had just ended. Finally, I received an email that they be doing the job two days in the future, when fine weather was forecast. Instead they showed up the next day, while it was still raining -- though it did clear up eventually later in the day. As to the work itself, the guys who did the work worked hard. But they showed up not knowing that the job was to replace two length of both soffit and fascia boards (a call to the boss apparently cleared that up), Materials for the job weren't purchased in advance. The soffits were supposed to be vented but what was installed wasn't (I didn't make a big deal about this). So, one has to wonder what the work quality is like. Since I am too old to climb a ladder to the highest points of my two-story home, I can only use visual clues as to the quality of the work, In one case, the workers re-hung a gutter that was bowed in the middle, meaning any rain would pool in the center of the gutter. They fixed it after I pointed it out, of course, and they didn't make the same mistake on the other length of gutter. But I wonder what the work was like on areas I can't see from the ground. Bottom line: they were hard to work with and the quality of the job is suspect. Avoid."

"We were thrilled with the work that Hector and his crew did on our deck. After 5 years of self-administered staining and much mold on the deck and especially the railings, we were ready to let a pro handle the job. Our deck is large, multi-tiered and made of gorgeous mahogany, but that beautiful wood had gotten lost under the multiple layers of dark-colored stain I had applied over the years. Hectors crew came on time and the power-washing brought the original wood back to life. Hector then advised us to use a transparent stain so that the wood grain itself would shine through after staining. He was absolutely right. The staining happened a few days later and now deck looks like brand new. There were a few areas where the stain had run and discolored the white painted risers beneath the steps. We called Hector and his team came out ASAP and touched up the paint. That's customer service right there. The overall experience was terrific and the job was perfect. Thanks Hector and crew."
