Both Lindsay and Tiara at the main office provided all the details, provided us with a quote, answered numerous questions and coordinated all the work effort. They are consummate professionals. Mark performed the installation in a very efficient and professional matter; he was able to answer our numerous questions. He was very knowledgeable on radon mitigation systems. Chad also solved a problem with the battery backup system. He was also very knowledgeable on the sump pump system and answered numerous questions. We will definitely utilize Lifetime Radon Solutions for all radon mitigation needs in the future."

"<p>it was superb! they easiest, hassle free Radon test in town, with extremely proficient people -- very knowledgeable and very people-friendly! they took their time to explain things on the phone to me before I committed. the test came back within 10 days or so -- via email. which is very convenient. it was very clear as it is, but I like talking through it and get advice. they were instantly available to discuss. they gave me future tips to keep on top of all things Radon related. </p> <p>I have to say that all this comes to be after 3 months of many back and forths with 3 other companies -- none of the other companies could be bothered to schedule a time, and those who did, never showed up.. many times over. I don't know why I was so patient with them and I wish had discovered Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories much sooner.</p> <p>Really highly recommend them!</p> <br />"

"Scoot is very thorough and extremely professional.  He walks you through every inch of the house and shows you all of the home components.  He is not an alarmist, rather a Realist.  I have worked with Scott on many inspections and every time is the same reliable service. <br />"

An examination of a real estate property's condition, usually performed in connection with the property's sale. A qualified home inspector can assess the condition of a property's roof, foundation, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical work, water and sewage, and some fire and safety issues. In addition, the home inspector will look for evidence of insect, water or fire damage or any other issue that may affect the value of the property.

"I was throughly impressed with Mark Poulter of Details Home Inspection. I am an Active Duty service member who is currently across country while I am purchasing a home in Oshkosh. I had to rely on Mark to provide me a thorough report and debriefing to address any areas of concern with the property I am purchasing. Mark did an excellent job and was very responsive! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Mark conducted a telephonic debriefing me with me after emailing me a detailed report of his findings. He was thorough and provided sound advice! Mark's detailed home report was impressive; color photos, recommended areas that could be improved even when a deficiency was not noted (i.e. minor painting of exterior window). The radon testing Mark conducted identified a major issue that required mitigation. Mark explained what type of system would work best and provided a ball park figure for repair costs. His estimate was exactly what the technician we hired quoted. I will definitely use Details Home Inspection again! <br />"

"Brian arrived right on time, and promptly got to work. He had actually went into the home being inspected two days before the scheduled inspection to set up radon testing equipment. He was very easy to work with and shared any problems he saw right away with me. There was a problem with the water turning on in the house after the de-winterization process and he was unable to inspect the plumbing on the scheduled inspection day. Without hesitation he said he would come back as soon as the problem was fixed, (by the seller) to check out the plumbing - at no extra charge. He kept his word and was back once the problem was fixed and gave a thorough inspection of the plumbing. He presented a detailed report of the inspection with pictures and recommendations, hand delivered, later the very same day of the original inspection. - he provided an addendum for the plumbing the same day it was completed by email. I was very pleased with Brian's professionalism and eye for detail. He is competitively priced and I was very satisfied with his service. <br />"

"I would highly recommend US Water. Not only did they explain everything fully but explained what they were testing for and how we would see changes not only to our clothing, dishes, shower glass but our hair and skin. Since I have two rather big water heaters I thought that I would need the biggest water softener, but Kevin was honest and saved us quite a lot of money. I would trust him without question next time. They also followed up days later to make sure we were happy and to see if we had any questions. Then a few months later they wanted to just check in to see that everything is going well. I haven't had this kind of customer service ever with a company."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Valders, WI

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
