"The Good:
   COMMUNICATION:  Serj was quick to call me and set up an appt. He quickly sent a contract. His communication was clear. The guys came when they said they would. There were problems with the sloppiness of the work and Serj sent a member of his team out to fix them later.

The Bad:
   POOR JUDGMENT:  They put the carpet roll on the street in front of my neighbor's house which is right next to the car gate entrance of the neighborhood. I told the guys to use my driveway to cut the carpet, but they didn't. 5 hours later, it was still in front of my neighbor's house and I had to drag it away from there myself.
   SLOPPY:  The job took longer than I think they estimated. The guys were here almost 12 hours and by then end they were just trying to be fast and get out. This made them sloppy. They hacked many of my newly painted baseboards with the metal tool used to tuck in the carpet. There is also a gap that can fit my fingers between the carpet and many of the baseboards. The seams in most rooms were very visible. They didn't even tuck the carpet in on all sides of most steps on the staircase.

Conclusion:
    Communication is really important. The team is not as detailed as I think they should be, but they are willing to fix the problems if you point them out. Serj wants to do a good job.

"I had Carpet Masters of California do some repairs on my bedroom carpet. The original company that installed my carpet did not do a great job of "stretching" the carpet tightly. A couple of large folds appeared after a year and the original installer would not do the repairs. "The New Floor Co did a floor repair/patch wear our old floor furnace use to be.  They matched the current wood, latticed it in and spot sanded it.
They were punctual, professional and did a very good job of  matching and blending in the new patch to the old floor.

"Sonny Perkins is the best. He is patient and thorough, helped us consider options, and suggested that we move out until the rooms were dry and chemical odors dissipated. He was recommended by the contractor who was repairing the outside walls and surfaces where the water entered. Sonny coordinated with the contractor and returned several times to adjust the drying machines and bring carpet samples. He went out of his way to find the same carpeting that had been installed 9 years ago. Sonny's prices were very reasonable and the carpet installation is perfect. He and his crew were very careful of our safety, and they went beyond the usual workmen in cleaning up as they worked. We have already engaged him for another small project for padding to protect a large area rug on wood floor in the living room.
