"Contacted several companies to pave my driveway. Allied Asphalt was the most responsive and professional. They did a wonderful job and Max represented the company perfectly. He reached out to keep me updated. And, he quickly responded to any questions I had along the way. Highly recommend."

"Rodney had some problems caused by this springs wet weather and couldn't get a long enough stretch of dry weather for about 5 weeks. He didn't want to do a job that would cause problems later on. He and his crew spent a day prepping the drive by rolling crushed rock over the entire area to be paved, it was hard to believe it could be made so flat. The next day they laid about 2-3 inches of hot asphalt down and this drive is definitely 100 of a 100 score. Rodney and company did everything right and on time with almost 0 waste. I can't recommended them enough. <br />"

"Very prompt and gave detailed information about work that was going to be performed. A salesman was let go so I had to make several calls before I found his replacement to get the second part of my job completed. They left a pretty big mess at my home as well as denting my water heater. They did a good job but I think someone should follow up to make sure the customer is satisfied and all of the work was performed correctly."

"Contacted Mikey looking for a bid to compare with another bid.  Mikey came that same day and made a bid that was substantially lower than the other bid.  Coincidentally he was finishing a job in a location close to my job.  Mikey's crew and equipment arrived early the next morning, worked a long day and finished my job in 1 day.  My job was a very long and curvy driveway with a turn around circle.  In addition to repaving the driveway also required some remediation.  Very pleased.  Mikey delivered as promised. <br />"

"We called Groen based on a neighbor's review of work they provided earlier in the year. They made an appointment right away, gave us a ballpark cost based on a potential design, gave us a timeline on their availability and were extremely professional. After deciding to use them, they provided a digital design to help us review how it will look. Several days prior to installation they advised the date and the office ladies sent an email as well. On the day of installation they did exactly what they said and cleaned the area prior to leaving. After the job was done, Crayton stopped by to ensure we were happy with everything. We have other projects planned for next Spring and we will definitely be calling them back given how happy we are with their work and customer service."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Valparaiso, IN

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
