"This is the third time we have used AVA Construction. First time Aleskey refinished our floors in the kitchen and entry way. Excellent job. We later had Aleskey install hardwood floors throughout the downstairs. Aleskey did an amazing job. This time we had the upstairs completely done. Can't say enough about the quality of work. Always on time and keeps you well informed on the progress. Highly recommend AVA Construction."

"We hired them to refinish our wood floors and they did a great job. They showed up on time, communicated well, and kept things clean throughout the process. The finish came out smooth and even, and the floors look brand new again. You can tell they care about their work. I?d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing floor refinishing."

"We had our home's entire roof replaced by Near Me Roofing Company. After getting several quotes,, and we were certainly not disappointed in our selection. The job took an entire day, from early morning until evening, but in the end, Ari and Elijah left the job site very clean, their workers were courteous throughout and, most importantly, we now have a beautiful new roof."

"The job went really well. They were able to repair and refinish the floor without replacing any boards. Thanks to the expertise and care of the technician, the floor looks as good as new."

"We had Mr. Sandless do the sandless refinishing on our entry floor and then refinish the tops of our dressers. The floors were much improved (without having done the sanding option) and the dressers looked fantastic! I would definitely use them again. They don't just do floors. Please look up the difference between sanding and sandless refinishing, though, as they produce different results, but each has positive and negative aspects to the process. Steven was fantastic and so professional both times he worked in our home."

"Pomona removed our old kitchen floor and installed oak to match the rest of the main floor, then refinished all of the main floor. Sean and his crew did a superb job, at a very fair price. Customer care and communication was tops. A beautiful result."

FAQs for wood flooring refinish projects in Vancouver, WA

Rental sanders can address moderate surface damage, but their effectiveness depends on scratch depth and overall floor condition. Drum sanders offer the most aggressive removal capability for deeper imperfections. However, if the damage extends into the wood structure or affects large portions of the floor, board replacement by an expert might be necessary before sanding. Consult a flooring professional for help.

Always thoroughly review the manufacturer's operating instructions before starting. Wear appropriate safety gear, including goggles to protect your eyes and a respirator to prevent inhalation of dust. Inspect electrical components before each use to prevent shock hazards. Keep children and pets away from the work area, and maintain a clean space by frequently vacuuming dust accumulation to prevent slipping and to ensure you can see well.

Sandpaper requirements depend on floor size, condition, and the sanding approach. Plan to use multiple grit levels (coarse, medium, and fine) with at least one to two sheets per 100 square feet for each grit. Floors with significant damage or multiple finish layers will require more coarse-grit sheets. Purchase extra supplies before beginning because running out mid-project can cause visible inconsistencies in the final result.
