"Classic Construction did outstanding work on our home. They resided our entire home with Hardie Plank siding, to include all the trim, fascia boards, gutters, shutters and re-wrapped our windows. We also had them redo our screened in porch. It transformed our house and it looks brand new. The skill and craftsmanship of their team was outstanding and they were very reasonable on their costs. Jordan Skinner was great to work with on the project and he is very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations to improve the appearance of our home."

"Very well. We were informed on a regular basis when the work would start and when the supplies dumpster and other items would arrive. Once everything arrived, the Lonestar staff began the process of removing the old siding and replacing it with the new siding. Partly through the process, the new storm doors were installed. All of this took about 10 days. The staff were very attentive to detail and really took pride in their work. Finally, the new gutters were installed. All in all, a job well done."

"Do not buy these metal boxes as they require much specialized maintenance. They use caulk to hold these things together which breaks down quickly. I have one in a house we recently bought and it's a nightmare, thus I have been dealing with these clowns since Nov. 2018. If they do come out to repair, they bring their caulk guns and grossly overcharge knowing it's very temporary. Then they sit back and wait for the next call, while a great business model for them, it's horrible for the customer. I spoke with their "regional manager" and he is pretty much the typical patronizing clown you would expect from a company like this, a flurry of canned excuses, shrugs and chuckles which all lead back to more grossly overpriced maintenance. After spending $560 on a caulk session I found this (see photo below), they offered to have one of the clowns come out on a unicycle and give me a price on redoing the whole structure. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY!!! P.S. Free Patio Enclosure, you tear down and haul."

"This is a great company to work with. They were professional, on time and made sure the work area was cleaner than when they arrived. They explained the installation process and even took time to make sure that everything was to our liking after installation. This company understands customer service. After the installation a leak developed and I called to see if they could look at it. That same day they were onsite and looking to see the cause and what could be done to stop the issue. They had a possible solution in the truck with them but it was not long enough to cover the tub area in question. They ordered new surrounds. When they came in one of the owners, personally came out and installed the component. After the sealant set up we tried it out and the problem was resolved. All the folks that work there are friendly, professional and able to answer any questions that we had about the enclosure products we selected for the bathroom remodel. Don't hesitate to call them if you need to order and have frameless bathroom enclosures installed. They are awesome!"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Vcu-west, VA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
