"This contractor was excellent. He installed four doors, a storm door, and created a new step under a pair of French doors. I would recommend this guy and use again."

Hi, Im Aleksandr, your local handyman in Portland and Vancouver. I help homeowners with repairs, upgrades, and small remodels? From drywall and trim to flooring and demolition. I show up on time, communicate clearly, and make sure the job is done right without cutting corners.

"Gary and his brother did the difficult job in one day on my third floor, walkup apartment.  The installation was very well done; I found no defects.  Scraping the old, disintegrated  pad off of the wood floor took much effort and time.  The space was complex; it required two long seams which are now invisible.  They cleaned up well and hauled away the old materials.  It now looks great!

"Todd Scarpelli of Floor Coverings International provided a comprehensive, through bid. Of all bidders he clearly demonstrated strong understanding of the needs of the project. He was the only one to focus on the challenges of the subfloor work and the special focus on the stairs as an important component of the job. He was professional, followed up on every detail daily, and delivered what he said he would, always on time. His installer, Terrrance was of the highest order. His attention to detail and excellence as a craftsman was top order. He showed up every day as established, and frankly far exceeded our expectations on every aspect of the installation. Finally, we appreciated Todd's follow up, attention to detail, and he always went the extra step to ensure our satisfaction. I highly recomend this vendor and plan to hire them in the future for other floor related projects. I wish every contractor experience was as positive as ours with Todd, his installer Terrance, and the company overall."

"What I like the very most about this company is their price transparency. Everything is itemized out to the smallest detail making their quotes very easy to understand. Perhaps rivaling this, is their responsiveness to phone calls or texting. I can always get a hold of someone or get called back right away. Everyone in this company is super, super, SUPER polite and when any issues arise they are quick to offer great solutions to keep your projects on schedule. I am very happy with the quality of the vinyl flooring install and the hardwood floor refinishing that was done. I am particularly impressed with the floor lacquer that was recommended for the hardwood flooring. I have already had an estimate for my next job with them."

"Michael did the work in a very professional manner and was easy to work with. He was committed and worked to complete the project in a timely manner. Great job"

"Metro Hardwood floors recently refinished the hardwoods in my entire 2 bedroom 1950 ranch house which has both oak and fir floors. The fir floors in the kitchen had been buried under many layers of vinyl flooring for decades and were in rough shape with lots of staining and black adhesive residue. I was doubtful they could be improved to more then a rustic look but the crew at Metro did an impressive job restoring them to their former condition. The oak in the rest of the house was in decent shape to start but looks remarkably better with several stained areas completely removed. The perfect finish has gotten lots of complements already. Joseph was very professional, punctual and obviously takes pride in his work. He accommodated our very tight scheduling window and even tracked down some matching planks to fill in an area in the kitchen. Great service at a price competitive to the three other companies I consulted. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Metro hardwood floors and will continue to use the company for any future project."

"We needed our kitchen re floored and were referred to phillip by our friend. He did a great job and we would definitely hire him again"
