As I had had success with Mr. Pickering for a problem with my Sub-Zero refrigerater (came with the house - actual appliance out of my price range :-) in terms of prompt service, expert repair and reasonable price the previous year, I contacted him again. <br /> <br /> My double-oven had also come with the house and was about 20 years old. Mr. Pickering promptly came to my house, diagnosed the problem, told me he didn't think the part was still available, but that he would get back to me and let me know. He called later that same day with the part number and that he had called a few places to see if he could locate one for me. He could not. He said that it may be possible to send my current one out to a service for repair, which would be much cheaper than replacing the ovens. He was right and I am very happy with my ovens now. <br /> <br /> I told him to send me a bill for his time, but he refused. I can't say enough about his honesty, professionalism, value, and service. A+ all the way!! <br /> <br />"

"Ron was awesome! He came, looked at the non-functioning knob and figured out very quickly that the problem was from a very small piece that somehow was broken. He didn't have the part, but he knew where he could get it for MUCH cheaper than ordering it new (saving me a bundle). Since he had to go to a local place to find the part, he left and promised to come back to fix the stove as soon as possible. He called the next day to try to finish the job, but I wasn't home. I called back as soon as I got the message and his assistant set up an appointment for the next day. Rod showed up early in the window assigned, took maybe 10 minutes to put in the new part and tested it thoroughly to make sure all was right. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the professional, friendly, complete and very well-priced repair I got from Pro-tech appliances... and they'll be my first call if I ever need something like this fixed again."
