"From the first minute they ensured we knew what they were going to be doing for the job and it paid off. The job looks beautiful and we've already received plenty of compliments on it. The room was in poor condition before they came in; an old converted porch with skewed walls, an uneven floor, holes throughout the floor and chunks of concrete missing. I couldn't have hoped for a better result, the work is immaculate, the lines straight and even, the tiles flat and no pops or lips sticking up, no dips. "Great work! The front corner of my unfinished basement has always been damp and even collects puddles during rainy stretches. Dixie evaluated the drainage along the driveway outside the garage and determined that the gutter was undersized and leaking and that the concrete was slanted toward the house which caused water to drain toward the house instead of away from it. They reworked the gutters and sealed the edge of the driveway with a thin layer of concrete, pitched away from the house. Even with all the rain we've had lately, the basement has stayed dry. My neighbors have bamboo which infiltrates my yard. Dixie dug the 50ft long trench through the roots, which was a bear of a job, and then installed the root barrier. Once I did out the rest of the roots on my side of the barrier, I shouldn't have the constant maintenance and aggravation of the aggressive bamboo shoots in my garden! This is the 2nd time I've used Dixie for miscellaneous house projects and they're due out in a few weeks for another project. I've always found Dixie to be very responsive. The crews are friendly, communicative and professional. They kept me in the loop throughout, discussed options and cleaned up when they were done. The bill was detailed so I knew exactly what I was paying for. They worked on a hourly basis and the final tally of time was justified."
